If Evans wasn’t starting this weekend, he is your best reliever and it isn’t close.
Why not use him last night to close and then he’s still good for some game 3 if needed?

With Evans not pitching at all last night, we will only see him in 1 of the last 2 games of the series.

He pitched like 80 or so pitches on Sunday. He was only on three days rest. He was never pitching yesterday.

Anyone who thinks Evans was available last night needs to refrain from talking pitching.

He threw 90 pitches in a start Sunday.

I really think fontenot can come in and pitch some non high leverage innings just to eat up outs. Not much pressure as far as power and he usually throws strikes. Hopefully he can have a surprise performance in one of these games.

South Carolina also threw their best arms last night. Their pen is going to be on fumes the rest of the weekend.

Still aggravated about Curiels out at 3rd

Not only that, hate to criticize one of our best, but Curiel seemed frozen at the plate last night, getting behind in the count on some really good pitches.

it looked more like Curiel thought the throw was going Home instead of to 3rd.

The 3rd base coach did. He instructed curiel to stand up.

Last night was always a bonus if we won. Tonight and tomorrow should be cake walks with the best 1-2 punch in the country toeing the rubber.
