So the census seems to be we start Hurd on Friday then Skenes Sat. How would that effect Skenes for a Super going on 6 days rest I stead of his usual 7 ?

He’s also pitched on 6 days rest 2-3 times this year.

If we get Grambling as the 4-seed, I'd rather trot out Money and use Hurd if we need in the bullpen or start a 4th game if necessary.

I'm not so sure that we don't see Cooper start game 1 of regionals.

It all depends on our draw and their Ace if they have one.

If we get a SWAC team, I’m starting Hurd on Friday. Then Skenes, then Floyd. Just like this week.

ETA: Skenes will be fine. MLB pitchers rotate from 4 days to 6 days rest depending on the off days in between. It shouldn’t make a difference and this board reads too much into it. Source: I pitched in college

1. he might start game 2 of the super. Game 1 and game 2 are of equal value
2. We might have a saturday sunday Monday super
3. 7 days def aint his "usual" rest. Thats been changing all year with the number of thursday games we have had

In other words.. You're overthinking it

Why waste Hurd on some SWACTION when Money will do just fine?

It’s still a regional. You have to throw guys you’re confident in

It should not affect him at all. He is a professional pitcher in college. 5,6,7 days. Whatever.

Wouldn't be horrible for Skenes to pitch game 2 in a super especially if the opposing team is holding their ace. Hard to say without knowing the match up.

We can’t take any chances!
I say start Floyd in Game 1
and Skenes game 2 then Hurd Game 3 for the win!!

I don't see starting a lefty that can eat up innings out of the bullpen like he did yesterday.
