are both harping on LSU’s weak defense and the strength of the SEC.
Cowherd is a gasbag, but Reggie usually is pretty thoughtful.
It’s just been an interesting discussion about the weaknesses in the top SEC teams.
They’ve been pretty fair, I think, but their conclusions are too general. They feel you can no longer assume a team from the SEC should be ranked above a team from another conference. I’m probably stating that badly, but I don’t care.

People only think about what happened recently. Just ignore the stupidity this week.

Reggie actually gives factual statements and thinks before he speaks. Cowherd is going to say what he thinks will get him a conversation. With that being said, I would say that the SEC is still the dominant conference.

I’ve always felt this. It was true 10-15 years ago but there is too much dead weight in the conference now.

However you will not convince me that 13-0 LSU should be ranked below ANYONE with the schedule we will have played.

that's true. I'll give a good example (one that we as Tigers should love):

If the SEC didn't have dead weight how does a team in the SEC-W go through an SEC schedule with only 1 SEC game to go, be in AP, CP, and CFP rankings in top-10 WITHOUT a top-10 win?

(By the way, that's the Gumps)

The best part of that is them going out of their way to protect the game against Tennessee every year while we play Florida is biting them hard in the arse.

What did it matter?

LSU held them to 7 in the first half.. and could have won by 4 TDs if they wanted.

Maybe the Big 10 has a claim. The bottom of the sec is worse than it was in that golden stretch, but you still have 5 of the top 10 teams in the country in all likelihood. And AM is top 20.

LSU, Bama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida and AM are light years better than the top 6 in any conference.

The big 10 goes Ohio State, Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana.

But Bama with healthy tua is a heavy favorite over penn state, Georgia is a healthy favorite over Michigan, and AM is a heavy favorite over Indiana. The other three are tossups.

And the other conferences are a joke

It was bad defense, that’s what mattered.

Lmao

If you think that was okay, you have something wrong with you.
