What is stupid about it? Those are fairly normal stats for a QB on an elite level BCS team.
Has the crappiness at the QB position totally distorted your ideal of what a QB should actually do?

guessing future statistics of someone who has never played a down is what's stoopid about it.

RedShirt
David Greene 59.3% 2789 Yards 17 TD 9 INT as a red-shirt freshman
Erik Ainge 55.1% 1452 Yards 17 TD 9 INT as a true freshman in 9 games
just two quick examples

Those are pretty average stats. That is what a QB's line is supposed to look like. Nothing stupid about it.

All I want is consitency from the QB position, and a rating in the upper 1/3 of Division I. I don't care who does it or what color they are. I just want better results than the past 3 years. If we don't have anyone who can get a better QB rating than Navy's we are wasting the rest of the team's talent.

Greg McElroy, a fairly average QB threw for over 2,500 yds his first year as a starter.
You are just used to watching crappy QB play.

Sorry....just noticed you were a Tulane fan. That explains it. My bad.

Aaron Murray did just fine as a rs freshmen with no experience. I would think if Mett started right away he would do just fine. With that being said lets hope we are actually having a real competition and the best qb win.

What are you....like about 12?
Posted on 4/19/11 at 5:11 pm to RedShirt
Well that would obviously make you about 10
