Refresh my memory please!

This year bama looks unstoppable compared to LSU... When was the last time LSU beat a team that appeared to be as dominant as bama looks this year? Basically, I'm looking for a specific game in the past that we can compare to the upcoming bama game this year where LSU will be a clear underdog. I'm probably overreacting to the AU game, but it was really ugly. For the offense at least...

We need to just enjoy the season
Ive got tickets to Bama...and I am going to enjoy the experience also.
I wasn't nervous about last night...
I am nervous about UF however...they can beat us for sure, they have an offense!!!

I agree about Florida. I went to UF two years ago when UF was in a slump and they STILL gave us a hard time. That UF game is scary after last night...

Were we not the underdogs for every game in 2007, even though we were ranked higher than our opponents. We were for sure ranked higher than UF that year, coming off a loss to Auburn the week before. There was NO way UF was going to lose 2 in a row.

Alabama looked pretty damn strong in 2009 and we darn near beat them at their place.
It's not a big stretch to say, "throw out the reconds when these two play".
LSU just needs to focus on each game, week
to week and improve each game.

I don't understand where people come up with bama is so unstoppable. They beat 4 teams that they were supposed to beat. Two pushovers and two over rated teams. I'm not saying bama's not good, cause they are, they are just young and untested. They've yet to be tested. And from what i've seen, of their secondary, Mizzo might give them a really good game.They better not have their eyes on Nov.3rd, stranger things have happened.

this is where we were before last night. we passed the test. it can be (and will be) debated as to whether or not LSU should have been tested but the bottom line is a win is a win and we are better for it, not worse.
i personally think bama doesnt get their gut check until they play MSU at home before us. that should be an interesting game.

Your question should be reworded to, when was the last time when LSU was as talented as any other team in the nation and we had to play a team that was equal.
Your answer would be 2011, in BDS against Alabama. Prior to that, 2011 Dallas Comboy stadium against Oregon.
BTW - everyone gets blinded by scores, but Western Kentucky sacked McCarron 6 times when they played. Bama has OL issues as well.
