Record for strikeouts in a single CWS game!

I cannot find it anywhere.
For a Series, dude apparently in 1962 struck out 38 times. That's hard to believe...lol I think Jones is safe of catching him.

little emotional are we? I don't hate them at all. I wish they were hitting well, with homers etc. I'm simply pointing out that they strike out A LOT. I have been doing this for every trip to Omaha starting with Skip...and have never seen 5 damn strikeouts in a game....that I can remember.....and the worst part is that it is expected against good pitching now.

never said we had to fire our hitting coach. I think it is good if Evans is able to come out of it. Shores has been pretty good his last several outings minus one. Cowans has not been good....the Freshman is really looking good. What I, and most on here have said is we are limited with reliable arms that strow strikes....especially when Cowan started tailing down.

This is true no matter what anyone says. He got a little better his sophomore year, but he still has a few pitches he absolutely can't lay off. So I'm not sure how it gets better.
As much as I like me some Bear Jones he is certainly one of the more frustrating stars we have had.

Players struggle. Players have horrible games. Brent Rooker, Nat'l Player of the Year in '17, went 0-5 w/ 4Ks in two games vs us the Super Regional. And players redeem themselves.

Alex Bregman and Dylan Crews both had some incredibly rough games in Omaha.

Jared spoiled our fanbase with that first half of the season when he was hitting almost .400
He's slumping but his power is undeniable and his defense is outstanding. Jay and sticking with him and believes with him. It's not a physical issue but in games that are likely going to be decided by a run or two he's crucial to have in because he can do what he did to Tennessee at any min. Jared has rare power and if he gets hot he could be the difference in us winning it all or not.
I do think we should move him down the lineup but I trust Jay completely
