I have a feeling this year could set the record. Not sure what the number is but I have felt this year has been a low number compared to what I can remember in my 20 years of following the tournament.
Auburn is the only lower seed to win in round 2 so far. Virginia is about to win. If Houston holds on then you would only have Oregon and UC Irvine left. I don’t even count either of those as upsets since they are both above 11 seeds.

The only thing that really helped this week feel like a “madness” is the 3 12 seed upsets and UC Irvine.

The preseason #14 team with multiple 5 stars doesn’t count even if they are a 12 seed.

College basketball was pretty down this season. There were some pretty good teams at the top and not much depth. I think you’re seeing the result of that in the tournament.

I assume you’re talking about Oregon. Their big guy Bol Bol got injured early and nearly derailed their season. Sweet 16 would be a season saver since they wouldn’t have been an at large.

There were 12 upsets in the first round as far as seeding goes. That’s a good amount. Second round only 1 so far.

I forgot about Ohio State over Iowa State too.
Besides Auburn first game, our game against Maryland, and now Dukes game, no other games have come down to last second shots. I might be forgetting a couple. I guess Tennessee went to OT.

Yeah I was noticing almost every game have been blowouts really. I love it when the games come down to the wire. Makes it a lot more fun to watch.

Heard them talking that they got better with out bol bol and his dad. Was a big distraction.

maybe I'm misreading your sentence, but Oregon and Irvine are 12 and 13 seeds, respectively.

I picked Oregon and Auburn to get to the sweet 16, so my bracket is pretty solid right now. Shaping up to have 15 of the sweet 16 teams ...
Stupid Buffalo pick. :smh:

"March Sanity!"
Lots of chalk in the bracket. Only one Cinderella still dancing--whoever survives tonight.
Boring.

Well, it's all gone according to chalk in the second round so far except for Oregon/Irvine and Auburn. Probably a lot of folks with most of their picks still alive.

I’ll have 14/16 and my wife will have 15/16. I had Iowa State and Wisconsin making the sweet 16.
I love March Madness when it’s crazy. Even if their aren’t many upsets I just want the games to come down to the end. Much like Duke and our game yesterday. That’s what it’s all about.

Committee did a really good job seeding this tourney.
