'01 vs Auburn. Not a classic because of it being a close game, but so many good "take that" moments from the game.

After the stomped on the eye of the tiger during pregame, we start the game with an onside kick. Tommy Tubberville's bitching to the refs is priceless. Then at halftime their kicker David Duvall damn near gets in a fight with our band because he was being a douchebag.

This was a crazy, crazy game. Probably my favorite game I've been to as a student. Seeing Tuberville crying about the onside kick was gold.

82 v Florida State was a far superior game

I agree. I mentioned the game AT #4 Florida that we dominated and was Hilliard's national coming-out party.

By the time we played FSU later that same season, the entire team was a well-oiled machine (that lost to Tulane the next week ).

I don't think it gets any better than "Bring Back the Magic," AKA LSU/Auburn 1995. I don't think the full game is available anywhere, but here are the highlights.

Others:

Arkansas 2006
Alabama 2007
Auburn 1988
Florida 1997

'79 USC (gut wrenching loss to a truly great team, yet extreme pride in our guys)
'82 at Alabama (thorough domination on defense - pushed Bear into retirement)
'82 Florida State (oranges and the fog)
'88 Auburn (earthquake game)
'07 Florida (4th downs and Hester)

come on, man, raise your threshold. You can't list 41 "classic" games since 1995. The term loses all meaning. To me, "classic" means the memory of the game spans generations and is deeply established in Tiger lore.

I have memories of LSU football back to 1970, and although there have been a lot of great games, I can only list a half dozen or so that I would truly call "classic."

Auburn/LSU 2001- Last game of the season. Winner wins the west. Everyone in stadium brings cigars to the game. Onside kick the start the game and it over after that. One of the coolest stadium experiences I have ever been.

Auburn 2011- who doesn't enjoy us falcon punching auburn for 4 quarters?

2005- LSU-Bama

2006 LSU- UT a most watch to understand why jamurcus got the hype he did. Wasn't even close to his best game but he was man.

Awesome game and I agree. I was hoarse for two days after that one. For trivia sake try and find the Hawthorne call of Jeremy Hill's big game breaking run for a 50 yd TD. He busted it with "Jeremy Phillips up the middle... The only audio I have seen of this play is from Musberger or Lynn Rollins.
