Can we quit using this term?

It cant be a rebuilding year when we are worse off at the end of the season than we were at the beginning of it.

Or at best, the same. What did we rebuild this season?

Rebuilding year doesnt just mean "shitty year thats not up to the standards you were previously held to"

Why do teams like Bama, Clem, OSU, and even UGA never have to “rebuild”

It is IMPOSSIBLE to build a dynasty if every third year is a rebuild

LSU hasn’t regressed this year

The team we fielded on Sat would have beaten our first game vs msu version

It depends on how you look at it.

We’ll now go into spring with 3 QBs with SEC starting experience. We had 0 before the year.

Baskerville, Jenkins, Ricks, Roy, Boutte, Gilbert, Wire all have gained valuable experience that will help us immensely in 2021. Harris got back on his feet after the knee injury. Toles has gotten reps. Flott has been up and down.

These next 3 weeks won’t be pretty, but it’s invaluable experience. We’ll be better for it.

On the flip side if the goal is to build a dynasty then you will likely never do it. The goal each season should be to contend for a trip to Atlanta. Obviously we haven’t been doing that.

They never have 'down' years recruiting.

They have more than 1 capable QB on the roster.

Has the defense not gotten better?

We will have 3 experienced QBs next year.

No reason why we can’t be.

i agree. which is why the rollercoaster ride of LSU football has been so mind boggling. really good seasons followed by mediocrity/average. no consistency.

It’s astonishing that a championship team from last year has to start from scratch supposedly
