Snead's a much better quarterback than Jefferson, but he was "in a funk" when we played Bama.....so that was not the best measure of the Bama defense, either.

Maybe but I think his "funk" had a lot to do with that defense. I just don't like this match up for our inexperienced QB. Our defense or special teams will need to score more than once for us to win this game.

Although I think you have a good point on UF scaling back their offense because of Tebow's injury (I think it's worse then what we're being told), I think youre underestimating LSU's defense. They've come on strong lately and Bama's offense is sputtering. Bama was damn lucky they had a good kicker against TN. Damn lucky.

dont forget we will have to deal with SEC officials who consciously or sub consciously are set on a 1 vs 2 Fla vs Ala SECCG and Heisman for an SEC player and National Title for an SEC team

I'm a little worried that this will be the most hostile atmosphere we've been in this year. How Jefferson responds will be important. While not totally on his shoulders he has to be solid and not get rattled. I've read posts earlier about quick slants and stuff to keep the Bama defense at bay and I agree.

We will be lucky to score unless the BAMA offense turnss it over in great field position. BAMA can blow out LSU but not vice versatile.

LSU has not given up more than 13 points per game for its last three opponents - 13 to Georgia and Florida and 10 to Auburn

In their last three games, Alabama has given up 19 points, total, and only one touchdown.

I have a friend that attended the meeting. They want an LSU/UF championship game. Makes no sense to me, but they think the ratings will be better than last year's game.

Christ you are annoying. Do they teach "shite based excuses" at Ole Miss? Cause you guys have them in spades.

Snead "in a funk" or not is not the question.

And JJ will have a better game than he did, a corpse could.

By the way, your Funk boy has thrown 11 picks, is barely over 50 percent completion rate, and has a rating 10 points under what the QB he is "MUCH BETTER" than.

bama'a QB is no tim tebow... I like our chances.... a lot
Bama's offense is nowhere nearly as dangerous as Fla offense because of that.
Defense about the same... coaches about the same....Enough said ! Go TIGERS !!!

The real question is where we will be ranked in the BCS after this game.

Saban just said that they were tired and beat up from three tough games in a row. In addition, he said they had become very consevative in their offense. They will be rested and healed.

We will have to elevate our game above what we have plyed so far to win.

This game seems similar to the 2005 LSU-Bama game. Bama's undefeated, we have one loss, we're playin in tuscaloosa. Also Bama= Great defense, Shitty Offense, just like in 2005. Same with LSU. Our O is alright up to this point, slightly poor, and our D is a force just like in 05.

GMAC hasn't throw a TD in the last three games.
J.Crompton threw for 265 as UT rushed for 76yds and lost on a blocked FG.

S.Garcia threw for 214 as USCar rushed for 64 yds & that game was closer than the final score. 13-6 @ half time & the same score for 25 minutes of the second half.

of course with a week to rest things could change.

I can recall many time when a really good run team or passing team is sensational for weeks, only to run into a brick wall. I think ingram is fixing to run into a chavis wall. I have faith in him to stop ingram and richardson. They are one dimensional and we have the athletes. It will take someone like chavis to get it done.

we can stop ingram and Richardson, look what we did to Ben Tate and McCalebb, just about the same RB tandum and if you dont think so, back it up with stats. P. Peterson can shutdown Julio Jones,(look what he did to A.J. Green) and Hawkins can shut down Marquis Mays with a little safety help.

I really like your optimism but Bama's defense has made QB's look stupid this year...and most of these QBs are better than our's. Do you really think Jefferson will fare better against this defense than, say, a Jevan Sneed?

Alabama hasn't faced a QB as mobile as JJ. Plus, with the speed of Shep and Trindon, how will their slow arse DL be able to keep up. A quicker release and better pocket awareness will do the trick.

We have too many speed guys. I saw that power was the key to beat a fast Florida D (look what Scott did on 13 carries, when we had them on their heels). and with a powerful Alabama D, speed is their cryptonite.
