Reasons not to worry about LSU
17 freshmen are part of the regular rotation for the Tigers. LSU has been hit hard with transfers, especially the offensive line. The Bulldogs will have a big advantage in experience, and could eat up an offensive line still learning how to play together.
Danny Etling is their quarterback. He’s okay, but if LSU struggles at all to run the football, how much confidence do you have in Danny Etling to win the game for the Tigers?
Ed Orgeron is their coach. Orgeron has done a fine job in two recent stints as an interim coach, but until I see him succeed as a Full Time Head Coach, I’m not willing to believe it is possible.

I mean, they not wrong. Let's just see how things unfold. If we push their brains in I think we can get pretty jubilant. If we win by less than 14 it'll be on par. If we lose- buckle up.

Can you imagine the melting that will happen tomorrow night if that happens? It would be epic.... All the O naysayers would climb out of the fricking woodwork with "I told you so"

Because they'd be RIGHT.

And all the cheerios should permaban themselves if it happens.

Expectations are expectations. Miles wasn't fired so we could lose to fricking MISSISSIPPI STATE.

This should be a solid win.

We had State beat pretty good last year, then a Les Miles coached team let them back in. Since O took over we were like gang busters except for Bama, but the Defense was

And that Defense will show up tonight, along with a Canada coached offense that we see more of that elusive playbook that has been haunting the rant for years. This is not LM, and O will have these guys ready along with Aranda's Defense and Canada's new offense.

Miss State is a power defense, good against run when you stack up. LSU will continue to use motion and speed to stretch the defense out. Of course, it's still the SEC, but Miss State does not have the team speed to cover the edge.

This is one of the better looking Miss State teams, but we still don't know much about them. LSU bottled up Fitz last year, and could certainly do it again. I don't think it's going to be very flashy, but I think LSU handles it and wins by 10+

Seems like a reasonable thought pattern if you haven't actually seen the Tigers play.

Agreed. We'll try and stretch their defense horizontally more than vertically for most of the game to nullify that strength in the middle. Their DL doesn't have the depth to rotate that much and it will have a cumlative effect through the game.

If it's one thing I'm confident in is that Aranda knows how to defend against a Fitz or Mullen AND that his players will be prepared. If MSU get's 2 TDs one of them will be a mistake/bust by LSU's young secondary. I don't see 2 long TD drives against Aranda.

MSU will have to pass to beat us. Just like us, do they think they are up to it and that Fitz can throw 30 times in a game without giving it away.

Arden Key is gonna pull the brainstem out the back on Fitzgerald's neck. The end.

This is actually a fair point. I like O, but still have some reservations. A dominant win today would ease a lot of fan's anxiety about him.

In hindsight, Moo State fans are smarter than we give them credit for.
