This.. Anyone who says miles wasn't a great coach is blind. He won't leave as a disgrace. He's not the same as he was. He hasnt adapted. The gsme has passed him by. Historically Lsu has never been great Untill Saban and miles. Saban inherited dinardos #1 recruiting class. Saban lost more in his 5 years than miles did in his first 5. Difference is Saban adapted and improved. Miles didn't. If we make a run finish strong and miles hires a Lincoln Riley or briles Jr. or someone similar offensively and we change to a modern offense I would be all for miles staying. I just don't think that will happen so I'm finally ready for new blood after this year. Regardless I will always consider miles one of the best OVERALL coaches in his prime.

The problem with the line of thinking that "Miles is the most successful coach in LSU history" is that while it is correct if you just count win percentage. What it doesn't take into account is that to the general population, number of wins means jack shite if you don't win the championship. To the general public, a coach that has 3 championships over a 10 year stretch but during the other 7 seasons he totally shite the bed and hardly win any games would be perceived as a much better coach than the one who won 90% of his games over a 10 year stretch but only 1 championship.

The reality is he's never been a great Xs and Os guy. He did well for 7-8 years because of great talent and decent coordinators from time to time. I think back to all the goofy trick plays , all the crazy last minute comebacks, and all the times we just barely pulled it off... eventually all the tomfoolery had to run out. Today he's so predictable that it disgusts me to watch some games . Miles will sit on a 1 point lead with a quarter and a half left to play. Mind boggling . I still love tigers football and I support the team but les needs to move on after this season, regardless of the end result . Anyone that thinks we run the table is truly delusional. I'm feeling 3-4 loss season . I hope I'm wrong though , I do think Aranda's defense will get better and better as the season goes on and will keep us in most games. I also think our offensive line will cause atleast a couple losses.

But Miles is the most successful coach at LSU
True....but the Mad Hatter is done and his accomplishments are in the past and its time to move on down the road.

What? Miles won championships...
Lsu is one of like 6 teams to win a national championship in the past 10 years. They are one of 4 teams (I think) to play in more than one national championship game in that period
I would hate this, but it would really be poetic justice for a lot of u if we fired miles and then slipped into 10 years of Tennessee, Texas, Michigan after they lost fulmer, brown, and Carr

And even with just counting championships, and not wins, miles is still the most successful coach in lsu history
Did I just get trolled or are you that delusionally entitled

3 major factors.
Tyrann left. One or two wins.
After 21-0 juniors left early and so did the next class.. One or two wins.
Then, the worst
#1 safety landon Collins " I have warm feeling about wife of assistant" then went Bama. Was difference in two bama wins.
Four to six wins right there.

I would have been perfectly fine with Miles being let go last year although I thought he deserved one more shot. That being said if you really had Jimbo lined up you should have let Les go. If Les wins the SEC this year I say he earned his job back. If he doesn't its time to move on.

Same here.
I didn't want Miles fired last year, but wouldn't have complained had Jimbo been the one to replace him. If LSU wins the SEC (

I am not a Miles supporter, but in fairness, when Saban was coaching at LSU he was not coaching against the best college coach ever in the same conference in the same division who also happened to win multiple NC during his tenure.
That being said Miles needs to go. The lack of qb development and stagnat offense for multiple years with NFL talent is unacceptable.
