Real Question About Acho…

Is he autistic? Maybe some CT? Don’t mean to sound like an arse and am not being sarcastic. He was so incredibly bad. First time I’ve ever muted my tv during a game because of the announcer.

I had no problem with the guy.

It was the Texas BBQ Bowl.... Did you expect the A Team announcers?

Just because a player sounds off, doesn't mean he has CTE. This crap has to stop.

The dude was way pro Baylor, had to mute.

He was one of eight winners of the NCAA Today’s Top VIII Award, which recognizes the premier student-athletes in all sports during an academic year and a member of the 2010 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team. He was the 2010-11 Male Big 12 Sportsperson of the Year, recognizing his community service and he was a finalist for the Lott Trophy, which is an award focused on character.
[8] In his junior year he was a semifinalist for the Lott Trophy. In addition to being a two-time Academic All-American, he was a three-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection and was Academic All-District three times in high school. During his senior year, the Sporting News named Acho one of the 20 smartest athletes in sports, a list that included two other college players and 17 professionals from the four major American sports. Acho was twice named Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education.
[57] During his NFL rookie year, Bleacher Report rated Acho one of the 10 smartest players in the NFL
.[58] During his time with the Bears, he was the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2016 and 2017.[
8] Acho is included in a 2016 AOL article, "Six NFL Players with Genius IQ's," which noted that he is fluent in 3 languages: English, Spanish, and Igbo.[59]
Probably not

Maybe I’m lucky but I have never let some background talk interfere with what I’m watching. I really honestly don’t even hear what they’re saying half the time and when I do hear it I rarely give it thought. I can see with my own eyes what’s going on.
My wife says I do that to her too though. I guess it’s a gift to block shite out.

Not that there's anything wrong with it!

No, just terrible at his job, but DEI

Dumb question. Just a very poor announcer.

Both announcers were so pro Baylor all game it was sickening. Even with 41 seconds left they were laying out the plan for Baylor to win.

At one point during the 3rd quarter, score 34-17,Baylor with the ball. He mentions Baylor was 3 scores down but if they score they would only be 2 scores down.
Thats when I realized he was just doing his best to not have dead air during the broadcast. I was not impressed but that’s the best he had and that’s all we can ask for in a non major bowl game

"I get it"....
He must have used that exact phrase a dozen times. He needs to either stick to the studio or get some coaching about how to come across during a game. That is Broadcasting 101 that you don't use the exact same phrase time after time. If that had been used for a drinking game, we would all be drunk out of our minds.

You should do this more often.
As I tell my family, football should be watched, not listened to.

It’s the language of where his family originates from and I believe him and his brother have a big footprint in with various charities and causes. It’s probably very important to him.
ETA and to be clear I do think Acho is a bad announcer/commentator. But that doesn’t make you dumb or autistic

Acho was so excited before Baylor blew the snap on that 4td down in the red zone. Then he was pretty much SILENT after our last TD. I thought that was pretty funny. His bias was an obvious as I’ve ever seen from an announcer.

You probably prefer someone like Ed O where most would need subtitles to follow along. Unbelievable
