Jeremy Hill is going to be sick eventually.
He might catch the flu or stomach virus or something at some point in the season but the point is that we are very deep at RB and there are many capable RB's on the team.

Can you not put the redshirt on anyone that is not an academic freshman???
I believe you are correct. I got that impression recently from something I read around here but I looked up the rules and dont see anything from stopping a team from redshirting an upperclassman other than it is generally not customary to do so for reasons other than medical or other hardship. It appears to be within the rules though...

You have 5 to play 4. The redshirt can be applied during any one of those 5 years. So McGee could still be redshirted. The backfield is crowded now and unless one has a major injury, let's redshirt Hill and McGee and get another year out of them. Under our current system, neither will ever get the overwhelming bulk of the carries that would prompt them going pro early.

If you're young and not good enough to lead or even be second in the pack with a stable of about 5-6 I think a coach and player should consider to redshirt said player.
Magee seems to be a strong, tough, runner, but you have four players who are, ATM, better than him. Then you have a guy on the same year (Hill) along with top guy (Hilliard), who by most accounts are just superior. Do the smart thing and make one year separation. The only one that has a chance to go pro this year with at least a 4th round is Ford. If Ford doesn't leave then next year you are a junior with 2 superior juniors in your same year, 2 superior redshirt juniors, and a senior.
Sure things can happen and people can get injured and miss half the season, but don't play until that happens.

According to bleacher report rb's are very inexperienced and need to mature.
Are they insane? All of LSU Rb's are returning.. They played an entire season leading LSU as the #1 ranked team all season..

A case could be made that Blue is the most complete (speed and power) back on the team
he most certainly is this.
he doesn't quite have Ford's vision and jukeability but he will run over your face.
