Is that what this is about? Raymond not being O's hire?

O needs to get Raymond his money. Raymond is a huge part of why LSU is called DBU. Hell, he's been the primary or secondary recruiter for nearly every major DB we've had since Rashard Robinson... and that's just DBs... not including other positions that he's contributed to

The fans may not like it but I think Aranda and O would be fine with it. I believe They brought Busch in because they didn’t like Raymond’s coaching. He is a great recruiter and a decent coach. Would be a loss but I don’t think it will be the massive loss everyone thinks.

LSU can and will match I would hope. But he may just want a change

I doubt it. From what I've read on the coaching changes board he is very happy here and is building a new house. Also, his wife is a big pharma exec and makes a huge salary so they are doing quite well.

That being said, salary is also an indication of appreciation and if he feels he's not getting enough "appreciation" I can see entertaining offers. I think he's near the top for DB coach salary, but he certainly has a case for being THE top paid DB coach.

Question when Aranda was at Wisconsin with Busch did the secondary mostly run zone coverage or man? Because this could be an underlying factor. Does Aranda’s scheme call for zone coverage to utilize his exotic blitzes? We know Raymond loves the DBs to play man coverage. We’ve always been a man cover team. I’m probably grasping at straws here though. Not saying Aranda wants Raymond gone either but maybe this was something already in the works. Possibly why Busch turned down the Ohio St. offer.

He does nothing to help the “Raymond could be leaving” narrative...it was the dolphins a year or so ago.

Moolah. He is one of the lowest paid on the staff and one of the best recruiters and DB coach in the country. Either break bread with him or lose him, its that simple

He’s the highest paid db coach in the country and only coaches corners

Are you going to be upset if Raymond goes because Aranda wants Busch as his DB coach? Busch is Aranda's guy.

He shut down UGA passing game with our DB's. Why would he leave?

STFU. I don't think anyone in his position would be ecstatic about the amount of money he's making compared to others. He constantly recruits and puts out the best DBs in the nation, yet is one of the lowest paid coaches on our staff. It's pitiful that geriatric Jerry came in and was making more money than Raymond. Pay that man his money.

Did not know Sullivan was making more than Raymond. That’s a slap in the face. Raymond has pulled top talent and hasn’t our dbs among the best every year. Honestly felt an experienced coach like Sullivan should have been able to produce a little more than what was produced by our young but talented receiving core.

I mentioned this last year I thought Orgeron was trying to push Raymond out the door with the Busch hire. If he leaves for Georgia I think that just proves he was not happy here under O. That's really shitty when you think about considering how hard he's worked. Name 3 assistants on this staff that should be paid more than Raymond right now.
