But wouldn't you rather Les recruit against a non-national champion version of Saban? Do you not see how that makes LSU's life easier? We will always have recruiting battles with Bama, and any time they lose it's a good thing for LSU.

Again THIS should NOT matter. If the coach can go in and SEAL THE DEAL, DO IT. LSU is prob in the top 5 colleges in America to come to if you are a top flight player. Do I like Bama??? frick NO. Anyone who openly wants Bama to win cannot be considered a serious LSU fan. Bama winning 3 of the last 4 BCS National Championships does not help LSU in any way, shape or form. I can understand respecting the program, but pulling for them to win again this year is just crazy.

Lot of younguns in here. Face it, Alabama beat us fair and square in our house. We should have won but didn't. Whoever Alabama plays either it be Oregon, K-State, N.Dame whoever, I hope Alasatan beats the wholly hell out of em and show the country we are the second best team, again.

in all honesty everyone knows that the SEC is the most dominant conference in the country and alabama winning/losing will alter no ones view in any way shape or form

Did I touch a nerve? I could care less about "SEC dominance", unless it's LSU demonstrating that dominance. All another 'Bama title will show is 'Bama dominance.
And I am an LSU Homer ... I grew up on LSU and graduated from LSU. I can respect what Saban has done at 'Bama, but no way am I pulling for him to "prove" that the SEC is the best conference.

OK thats fine. LSU fans can HATE BAMA all they want. That is what makes college football SOOOOOOOOO Special to a TON of people. GREAT. But IF Bama makes the Title Game, I would NOT ROOT for them to lose. Thats just me. Maybe because I have followed CFB for over 45 years and realize that its a great game and hope for the best.

FWIW, Bama doesn't need to win for CFB to remain a the greatest sport. Bama could never play another game, and it wouldn't detract from my love of the game ... I would just have to find a new team to hate (and that honor could easily fall on Auburn, aTm, etc).
