This was my response/assessment of the matchups:
quote:
QB - Advantage TCU
RB - Push to slight advantage LSU
WR - Push
TE - No idea what to expect from ours, and we always vastly underutilize this position, so we'll go advantage LSU
OL - Advantage LSU
DL - slight advantage LSU (more towards the full advantage LSU since Fields is sitting)
LB - MAJOR advantage LSU
Secondary - push slight Advantage TCU
Special Teams - Push (Kicking game advantage TCU, return game Advantage LSU)
Coaching - Push

QB - Advantage TCU
Not buying - Mett against Bama - QB - LSU
RB - Push to slight advantage LSU
LSU has 3 NFL ready RBs - LSU
WR - Push
LSU has 3 play makers - I can't say much more because I really don't know what TCU has
TE - No idea what to expect from ours, and we always vastly underutilize this position, so we'll go advantage LSU
OL - Advantage LSU
Major LSU
DL - slight advantage LSU (more towards the full advantage LSU since Fields is sitting)
Major LSU
LB - MAJOR advantage LSU
Secondary - push slight Advantage TCU
If you say so - we will both see
Special Teams - Push (Kicking game advantage TCU, return game Advantage LSU)
Coaching - Push

its not slight. LSU has 3 possibly 4 backs that would start at TCU
quote:
WR - Push
For now id agree. LSU WR have potential but havent proven so I wont argue this one

Coaching - Push
I will allow you to argue that HC is a coin flip etc. but whole coaching staff top to bottom LSU wins by a mile

Waymon James was a 4* recruit out of high school who's been a beast since he got here.
Aaron Green was one of the top RBs in the country in his recruiting class with offers from just about everyone. (more highly sought after than any RB on your roster)
BJ Catalon was a sleeper that our coaching staff picked up, and was huge in filling the starting RB role last year as a true freshman, and is looking to take another step forward, but will be our #3.
I have no doubt at all that your RBs are talented. But don't underestimate the guys we've got in our backfield.

Blue- Better stats than all but one (i thinki) of your 3 RB's last year with his 2011 season. Injury ended season quick in 2012
Terrance Magee- switched positions due to wealth of RB talent. Back with a lot unknown potential
Hilliard- second on team in rushing last year avg almost 6 yds a carry
Hill- one of the best freshman rushing seasons ever at LSU and led team
Copeland- Arguably the best FB in the entire country

Waymon averaged 7.2 yards per carry in 2011, was over 9 in 2012 before his injury. Catalon last season was right around 5 ypc, and that was behind a pretty bad offensive line.

All of our RB's played against top level SEC defenses and still managed better numbers

You realize Rivals ratings dont mean shite correct?
And I still stand by saying that any of LSU's backs would be the starter at TCU

I just dont understand thiss. Im fine with the thought that Patterson > Miles. thats at least up for debate. But coaching staff as a whole is LSU by a lot.

After further reflection, I agree with your analysis. I was overly focused on the head coach.
With apologies,
Mr. Sports

There is not a single player on that TCU team that would be starting for LSU. If this game is closer than a 17 point win, I would be somewhat upset.
