He's gone. Too many chances and too many screw-ups.

We'll be fine. We have so much talent at DB it's ridiculous.

I think the fact that they gave his number away speaks loudly that they don't expect him back.

So a full year away from the program after missing (half?) this season?

He gone.

His former hs teammate Avery Peterson rocking his number suggests he isn't coming back. Sucks, but we're loaded at CB

Pretty sure guys offensive and defensive players can still wear the same number.

I like the idea that he's at least trying to keep a path to get him back to LSU. The fact that he'd rather be a Tiger instead of just going to some 1AA school, tells me that being a part of this team is still important to him. I'd say the chances are less than 25% that he returns...but the ball is in his court.

He hopes to re-enroll in the fall and gain academic eligibility for the 2016 season. LINK

He's not eligible this season. What I read is that he can enroll in a community college, probably in Pompano Beach, and then return the following season. I think that's what his plan is because I haven't heard anything about him transferring to another school

We all hope so. Can't impress how important it is for one to apply himself in school. The results of a good grade report are more satisfying than an 80-yard INT return.

He is uber-talented. He was a lock-down corner by the end of his true freshman season. He got off-track during his sophomore season which led to his ineligibility.

The smartest thing for him to do would be to take this year off to get his mind right, work on his game at a JUCO, then come back for one final season in 2016 working alongside what could be our greatest collection of CBs ever.

Can you imagine a more mature Rashard working with Ed Paris, Toliver, Donte, Saivion and whoever else commits in this 2016 class? And don't forget what our safeties will look like that year, highlighted by Jamal Adams' junior (and final) year. That would be truly epic.

He could really work himself up the draft boards if he did that. He is a first round talent.

Maybe Patrick Peterson and his dad will help him out like they did with Tyrann.

This is the scenario I am hoping for. Dude can be an elite corner in '16.
