No SINGING and No INSTRUMENTS...cheap productions, computer generated sounds and TALKING fast aka no real talent. Call it what you want, but I will never call it music! Just a form of entertainment. Rap as defined before 1990, was an UNORGANIZED CONVERSATION. "I was rapping with the boys"...in other hanging out bullshitting.
Hip-Hop destroyed Rap with the ghetto inner city culture. Rap in the 1980s was positive and happy and then came Gangsta Rap in 1991...the rest is history.
