Buti it's not like you were going to rank the coaches and not put maineri first.

I actually did my research I don't just wake up and shite numbers and facts.

I reviewed each coaches records, wins, postseason, recruiting, etc...

I had Van Horn first until I really looked at the difference between him and CPM. Besides CPM being able to win a National title in his only CWS title game appearance, I also remembered all the moves he made to win consecutive SEC titles.

CPM has won four of the last six SEC tournament titles, has won the SEC West 3 of the last 5 seasons, and coached the team to the best record in school history last season.

Ron Maestri is a better coach than maineri. It ain't even close

Whoever I said you wouldn't agree with any way. I honesty don't know cause I don't get to watch all the sec games. But if maineri is one, this is the most over rated baseball conference in NCAA history.

Do you think Aaron Nola was recruited to go to lsu? Do you think he would have gone else where? So easily the best prospect on the team who is going to be imperative for their success wasn't even recruited to go to lsu. HE CHOSE LSU, maineri and lsu did not choose him. There's you're recruiting for you

You really must love you some lsu. So willing to give maineri number one. Jesus

Watch the games dude. Look at the situational decisions maineri makes.

You know nothing LVdolphin7

Why aren't we stealing bases? Because the game has changed and CPM uses the Sac Bunt more than ever. We are ranked in the top 50 in the nation in Sac Bunts but it is eliminating the stolen bases.

Why?

Because the percentages increase for moving the runner up 90 feet if they sac bunt him over and move him into scoring position.

That is a taste of the baseball stuff CPM does that people don't seem to understand.

so I guess CPM can't manage a game when he calls a bunt to give us the lead

Dude, if you can't rank them then get the frick out of here.

All you are doing is arguing that he isn't number one without giving us an answer of who?

No seriously man, go frick yourself if you can't name a better coach in the SEC.

No one else should post until you do.

I shouldn't say this because then my thread will end with you not responding.

Haha we don't steal because we only have one player whose fast enough to not get thrown out but he is not that good of a player. Laird. You sac bunt when you have to sac. Maineri sac bunts with 1 out and a runner on first? Let's keep taking the bats out of our players hands... See how far that goes.. Pun intended

Nola accounts for 7 of our wins this season. What about all the others? lol

Actually, if you knew anything, you would know that Aaron Nola was going pro but CPM made a phone call the night before the draft as a one last ditch effort to get him in purple and gold.

Sure, his brother went here and that made it easier being as Austin helped get him here too. (I forget, did CPM recruit Austin Nola?)

Wrong.

Stevenson, Bregman, Foster, Sciambra, Fraley...

it is a coaching decision and not a sign of being a bad game manager. I don't know the stats off the top of my head but I fully suspect that you score more often when you sac bunt the runner to 2nd instead of try to steal.

Plus stealing is more than just speed, if Laird and Stevenson aren't good about reading the pitcher they will get thrown out a lot.

If LSU sucked, do you think these high profile recruits would still come here no matter what?

It isn't close at all, you're right. Mainieri's resume blows Maestri's out of the water. He did very well considering he was at UNO, but CPM has over double the total wins, countless more titles.

These players are not that good. Bergman is the best position player. You can be fast but if you can't base run and read ball out the pitchers hand you're out 10-10 times
