I think McCray is actually ok when he's not in the nickel or dime slots, leave him at safety and move Coleman to Lb, you know he loves to hit.

I love the team and support the players, but McCray is best suited where he was the later third of last year:

Chad Jones has to start somewhere. I was ok if we would have had all our safeties at linebacker last year. Chad's a playmaker and he needs to be on the field often.

I REALLY hope someone supplants Coleman. While he covered better than most of our safeties, he doesn't know how to use his arms when tackling and overpurses like nuts. I think C Jones and McCray start the year but are getting a lot of pressure from Hatcher and Loston.

Coleman will not be supplanted barring no injuries. He is cleary one of the hardest hitters on the team. He will have a breakout senior year. Remember a lot of rantards knock on Laron Landry was that he did not wrap up on tackles. He over persues only bcs he is coming so fast to knock someone out. He will be fine. McCrary in no way will start over him. imo!

There, fixed it. He isn't even close to the player Karnell Hatcher is. And shouldn't be a nickel back either- phelon and Jai should be. THere really is no place in the Def. for McCray to small for LB, too slow for CB and he did anOK job at S, but there are more talented players than need to be on the field before him. Like Hatcher or Francois. Hell, ROn Brooks should play the nickel/Dime before McCray.

i say we make mccray a passing down linebacker...

FL will figure out a formation that isolates him on a receiver...

I value good tackling and being in position about 1000x more than being a hard hitter. I am not even sure Coleman has arms. I am not comparing him to McCray as they play different positions, but I would rather several players at SS over Coleman. Who knows though...
