Myles Brennan and Corey Thompson were teammates at LSU. As a freshman, Corey Thompson was teammates with members of the 2007 national championship team. Myles is old as hell.

2007 was such an incredibly fun season. It’s crazy to think of all of those guys as old fossils now who are long retired from football.

Corey Thompson was a freshman in 2012 and a 6th year in 2017.

Ok.
So confused about what you’re getting at. We know Myles has been around for like 4-5 years.

The 2007 team (while probably not as talented as the 2011 or 2019 team) was one of my favorite teams, and I had a blast watching them. They were one of biggest reasons that I like college football as much as I do. A LOT of crazy things happened that year, and I am not just talking about the LSU games either.

this is the widest stretch that I think is possible. Two 6th year seniors that over-lapped back to back

A 6th year senior that played in 2020 could have played a 7th year in 2021 because the COVID year didn’t count. Think if André Anthony had started just one year earlier.
He could have started in 2022 with a freshman that ultimately played out until 2027.
That would be two players bridging 13 years.
To put that amount of time in perspective, the Florida Gators have had 8 different head football coaches in the past 13 years.

Isn't he pretty close to the age that Burrow was as a sr?

My point is Myles Brennan has been here so long he was teammates with someone who was on our team a decade ago. He and Corey Thompson both played for us a long damn time.
Brennan is not the first 6 year guy at LSU. Cameron Lewis just finished his 6th year and Andre Anthony had 6 years due to a medical redshirt.
I'm pretty sure there was at least one other several years ago under Miles but can't think of who that was right now.

This reminds me of the bizarre factoid that President Tyler (who was born in 1790) has a living grandson, Harrison Ruffin Tyler (who is 93). (This is possible because Tyler had 15 children with 2 women, one son while he was in his 70s and that son had a son in his 70s.)

Doesn't Chad Lavalais at least get mentioned? Seems like he was on the team a decade.

Lav was only at LSU 4 years (00-03 seasons). He just had a few years off between graduating HS and enrolling.

Such a weird thing to try and make work. Myles wasn’t here a decade ago.

Are you serious right now lol.
No one is saying Myles was on the team a decade ago. A player on our current team was teeamates with someone who was here in 2012. It is just a fun fact that OP is posting lol. Not that deep.

Corey Thompson was a freshman in 2012. Not a freshman in 2007. And that’s not what that person was saying. Your post is all wrong.
