I rewatched that earlier and thought the same thing.

Just awful.

That would have put a nail in their coffin, and I doubt we would have seen that many passing yards. 34-7 at the beginning of the 3rd would have been nice.

Maybe the same local casino bookie has him in his pockets (the game was close at the time) that had Kelvin Sheppard lay down on defense against Florida and everybody else we played and JJ all these years of poor performance. Local bookie has to make a livin' and all of his favorites are gone. I hope I'm wrong and he just needs lasics surgery like Bowe.

The Brandon lafell drop is the worst from an LSU WR.

That wasn't even a drop. It was like a volleyball set up to the db. Thank god we still won that game though.

Although the Randle catch was a bigger frick-up, I think I was more upset by the missed field goal. The difference between 30-7 and 27-7 in the third quarter is enormously larger than a mere three points... as we were about to find out.

What got me was the huge smile on his face. takes a bad play for him to show emotion, Aaron Brooks style. Dont get me wrong i just laughed. But yeah that would have sucked the life out of them. But then kr for td is a good way also.

That first drive of the second half was thing of beauty until that drop. Complete dominance. A score there and we would have crushed them, more so than we already did.

If you watch it in slo-mo you can see the ref about to make the TD sign. I know Randle is the best WR on the team but IMO Beckham has outplayed him the last 2 games. In the Miss St game Beckham was the possession receiver making a number of important 1st downs. In the WVU game, I thought Beckham was the best blocking WR.

Yes, but that's also because Randle gets all the attention from the defenders. He also gets a lot of double coverage the the safety also 'tends' to his side. Randle is by far our #1 'stock' receiver.

Randle will be a huge part of this offense all year, but I'm guessing his draft status couldn't be hurt by working on his technique.
That's what the WR coach is supposed to be helping him with.

BTW, receiving a cute little pat on the helment after dropping a pass that's right in your hands is total BS. That's just telling your WR's it's OK to drop them and if you continue to drop them there will be no consequenses.

Our WR's having been dropping way too many passes all during the McCarthy and Gonzales years. Don't know what the problem is or what specific coaching technique is being used, but there's a problem somewhere. They lose concentration when the lights come on.

I love Reuban Randle like nobody's business, but how the frick could he drop that? He makes that and and we run them out of their own fricking stadium. The drop and the subsequent missed chip shot FG(bad snap,I think by the way) and they got new life. Just terrible by a guy who we think has AA talent.

That said, watching the replay, I really like our offense. And we're doing it without 1) a healthy OL, including our LT being out most of the game 2) RS not being there most of the year, and 3) Deangelo Peterson being MIA last 2 games. And he may be our best offensive weapon. As good as our defense is, I think our offense if really good and only getting better.

Why are we talking about a dropped pass 4 days after a game that we won by 26 points? NFL WRs drop passes. It's a part of the game. That one was a pretty bad drop, but it was still just a drop.

Right now, you could make a case that OBJ is our best receiver. The kid has Hoovered any ball thrown remotely near him.

Is that the fricking point?

We don't play on the team chief.

it's like that slow hopper to short stop... too long to think about it... I'm sure though, nobody felt as bad as he did, his reaction was obviously, "Holy shite! How did I drop that?!"

this is a pretty dumb statement. It's meant to keep RR's head up and to know his QB still has confidence in him. That's not a screaming moment like a dumb penalty

I actually kinda agree with this. Seems like since 2006, we've been really inconsistent at catching....though that may have something to do with have inconsistent QB play....
