Yes, the part above is comically untrue. When Les was here we had such a consistent style of play that it was the subject of half the threads on here.

Orgeron has switched styles, from the consistent Miles approach, twice.

If you have a finite offense do you not think Aranda will scheme to shut it down ?

The part about us changing DCs often. Was dead on about OCs, we ALWAYS want to change that guy, all it takes 1 maybe 2 years and everyone is over whoever is calling plays.

But we dont change DC's often at all. Chavis was here from 2009-2014, that's 6 seasons. Steele spent 1 year here in 2015 and we've had Aranda since 2016, he will be in his 4th year here for 2019. That's not often at all in today's CFB climate.

In the end, changing coordinators isn't necessarily a negative, look at all the coaches Alabama burns through everywhere. Just in coordinators alone:

2018 - OC Locksley, Co-DC Lupoi, Co-DC Golding
2017 - Co-OC Daboll, Co-OC Locksley, Co-DC Pruitt, Co-DC Lupoi
2016 - OC Kiffin, DC Pruitt
2015 - OC Kiffin, DC Smart
2014 - OC Kiffin, DC Smart
2013 - OC Nussmeier, DC Smart
2012 - OC Nussmeier, DC Smart
2011 - OC McElwain, DC Smart

They had some fluidity at DC with Smart, then it's been a revolving door. At OC it's just constant change outside of Kiffin's 3 years.

Biggest difference offensively between us is despite the constant change at OC, they run a scheme that fits their players to a T, and it changes pretty often. Biggest difference is Alabama has solid to elite line play every year, makes calling plays a whole lot easier.

Wow. One of them finally made a somewhat coherent point and argument. About damn time. Their fans are a very unimpressive lot based on experience here.

NCAA recognizes it. Are we supposed to deny it?

So should LSU claim all 8 National Titles that we could claim? Including 2011 when we lost to Bama in the Title game, but some polls/sport's writers left us #1.

I promise you that I would and I would shite all over anyone that recognized it as well. It's fricking stupid and I have a tremendous amount of respect for your football program outside of that. Winning that many games in a row is not a fluke no matter what the competition is. But, when comparing yourself to the very best teams in the country, that competition does matter.

But our defense had an identity tho lol. I’ll tske our defense over their offense.

And ucf gives up 280 yards on the ground per game so I’ll take our talent with run game over their defense.

Vol - what is the sentiment with the team about playing UCF? Are they excited to beat the brakes off the fake national champs and keep them out of the playoff talk for several more years?

They also seem to change OCs and DCs a lot.

This is true most places though - LSU is no exception.

According to Alabama's media guide, this year nearly the entire Tide coaching staff was in their first year other than Saban and the strength coach:

Dan Enos - associate head coach and QB coach
Mike Locksley - OC (he was there before, but is new at OC)
Josh Gattis - co-OC and WR coach
Pete Golding - co-DC and LB coach
Tosh Lupoi - DC and LB coach (also there previously, but new at this position.
Jeff Banks - special teams and TE coach
Craig Kuligowski - associate head coach and DL coach
Karl Scott - DB coach

The only people on the staff who were not in their first year were:

Joe Pannunzio - RB coach (only his second year)
Brent Key - OL coach (his third year)
Nick Saban - 12th year
Scott Cochran - 11th year as S&C coach

So Bama has had constant turnover in coaching staff but it obviously hasn't hurt them. I suspect a similar story is true for just about every college program.

While LSU will dominate UCF, if they played an SEC schedule, they would be 7-5 at best.

I am sooooo tired of this UCF horseshite.
