I hope the fans going to the box today are reading this and let the standing ovations for the opposing teams, rest today...

Stratton deserved a standing ovation last night after the way he pitched. He struck out 17 and only walked 2. Had he continued to pitch, we may not have gotten the win.

And he may have lost his arm if he continued to pitch.

Ill agree with that. But that was before these comments. I dont care if Nolan Ryan takes the mound and throws a no no today, Im not standing or clapping for these clowns. I remember going to Starkville for a weekend series with my dad when I was a kid. They harrassed us, cussed us out and rang cowbells in our face all weekend. Starkville is God's toilet and the people there are the germs.

This is true. Baseball fans are distinguished from fans of other sports by their willingness to recognize an outstanding performance by an opponent.

Its a tradition I always found refreshing in a confrence of ultra competitiveness.

I agree, I thought that the coach left him in too long. I was just pointing out that he deserved the applause, the kid pitched his heart out.

That's why LSU will always be LSU and State will always be and after thought. Thats why we are better. LSU fans will give a standing ovation for a great performance and we don't care what anybody else does or doesn't do, we do it because it should be done, period. we have CLASS, they are STATE !

There is no such word, thought, concept, idea, or notion. You either won or you lost.

I'd argue that there is such a thing, but the winning team always out-competes the losing team, by definition, by making more critical plays.

What's laughable is the notion that the losing team can out-compete the winning team. That's a "logic" that's always born of butthurt, which we saw a lot of last football season.
