He isn't incompetent, and I don't think many believe that. He has obvious weaknesses though which were exposed down the stretch. He has a great opportunity next year to restore faith, this next team should be in a BCS bowl and honestly...one of the front runners for the NCG.

100% agree

eta: although I have read quite a few posts calling him incompetent, or applauding Hebert for doing so.

I've said this a few times already, you people who have self appointed yourselves to be the happy fan police really should just take a few weeks off from Tigerdroppings, or just go to OT or Movies/TV board.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being content with LSU. I wish I was.

But most of us are still very, very angry and need to vent.

Coming on this board and attacking the fans and starting drama from within is not helping the matter at all. You're not going to say anything enlightening that is going to force a sudden change of heart. Just let us vent, please. Thanks.

Honestly, if things like that bother people....they should probably avoid social media following that debacle for a few weeks. People are going to vent, some will go overboard. It was quite an embarrassing moment for tiger fans.

vent away

not trying to judge anyone, just adding my opinion to all the others.

I am unhappy too. I hate that we lost to Bama. I am disappointed in certain aspects of the coaching the past few years. I am in the crowd that feels this coming year, with JJ/JL gone, will tell the tale for me. If it is a mess again, then I will be ready to start hatin.

you sound like a bitter woman... i don't know, maybe you are.

A lot of this criticism is warranted. And a lot of it is absolutely ridiculous and irrational.

It's frustrating to read. So maybe you're right... maybe I just need to stay off of this board since it has become the bitch board.

No, a woman would not be able to understand how the man could be so pissed off from an LSU sporting event.

You got it backwards.

thats what you are if you though jl would have won us that game

Listen noob, nobody is saying that JL WOULD have won the game - we are saying that SOMEBODY other than JJ MIGHT have won the game - or made it competitive - or lost it by a larger margin.

ANY of those alternatives are better than folding your tent with a full quarter of football to go in a NC game. Not trying is worse than getting blown out by a larger margin.

Bama not only whipped us on the scoreboard = they sapped our spirit because we tossed in the towel.

Yep, people are upset because it appeared that Miles was going down with the ship rather than fighting, and did appear to give up early in the 4th quarter. At least the appearance of a fight, a change, an effort. But it didn't happen.

blazing---stop using the word moron to describe people who disagree with you. Football is now a money game and the LSU fans have spent a great deal in supporting their team, and most assuredly deserve a better showing than the one they got last Monday night. Miles unbelievable game plan was destined to lose, and if you watched the game you knew five minutes into the game it was over. LSU fans deserve better. Of course you do not run Miles out of town, but he should be brought to explaining his unbelievable stubborness when it comes to Lee.

How can anyone say anything less than Miles is incompetent in pressure situations on game days? He is not a good gameday coach. Plain and simple. For all the things Miles does well, being a gameday coach isn't one of them.

National media will eat him alive in the future, in big games.

I would also point out that Georgia Southern in their second season of football made 14 first downs and gained 341 yards against Alabama. LSU should not have had to beat Bama again, but let us hope that the BCS makes needed, badly needed changes.

Miles is a crafty SOB who can coach with the best of them. He proved that by beating everyone put up against him. Sometimes with missing stars here and there. He won the SEC championship. Didnt he win the coach of the year award? You guys need to take a step back, if Miles is an idiot, then the other coaches past and present in the SEC must be brain dead snail trail... Holy crap.. You guys could do a lot worse than Miles and chavez... I hear fulmer is still looking for a HC job..

I don't think it is bashing Les Miles to say

- Zero adjustments were made on the offensive side of the ball
- Our defense played Championship football and our offense played JV ball
- The difference between playing ability betweeen JJ and JL is miniscule when compared to the difference between either one of them and a good QB (and I only bring this up b/c of your 1 TD / 7 INT quote)
- I've never seen a Miles coached team be that flat in a bowl game
- I've never seen a Miles coached team be that outplayed
- I've never seen a Miles coached team employ a strategy that was that ineffective
- I've never seen a Miles coached team that didn't have some wrinkle/adjustment to at least TRY

I still like Miles. I still think he is a great football coach. I wholeheartedly agree that he knows exponentially more about football than I do. What I cannot fathom, is how when it was obvious to everyone else that I have talked to - even die hard JJ supporters who thought he was Mike Vick or Vince Young - that JJ was not the answer that night we didn't try anyone else. What's the goal there to lose by less? If so, then you gave up. When I'm competing against someone, if everything I'm trying is going to fail without a doubt I going to try some remaining options no matter how stupid/crazy (and I don't think trying the QB with the highest efficiency rating in the SEC and the one that got you to 8 - 0 beating most of the teams that made you such an esteemed competitor in the first place is stupid or crazy) they may seem to some.
