They have been coaches together at Michigan and both have that big 10 mentality.
both have been removed from the big 10 for decades. their mentality is how to win football games and both have been associated with great programs and both know how to win football games. virtually all championship teams, college or pro, know how to run the football effectively and use the passing game as needed. has nothing at all to do with big 10 mentality.

Les will always have a hand in it, he's the HC.....it just isn't as much as people would like to think.
Les also has a hand in the defense and special teams

Come on man, so the guy that extended a scholly to every player and has been here for 8 years doesnt need to put his 2 cents in to a guy that is in his first year here?

A) Cam will have somewhere between 80-90% of the play calling and offensive scheme say so...(ruling out 100% because that is not feasible or reasonable)
I think this is the first true OC we've hired since Crowton and Les actually let Crowton run his offense until we proved we didn't have the QBs to do so. I think there is a trust between CC and CLM and CLM won't be so hands on with playcalling as he was with his OL coach at the helm.

60%, just cause it fits two of the choices

E. 99%, the exception being a fake FG/punt.

As long as he's got 100% of the final 5 minutes, I'm good.

Just enough to hang himself...but Not enough to threaten Miles

I would go with A.
How much control Les has over The Chief in the defensive scheme?
As long as Cam is getting the job done i think Miles is cool with letting him drive the bus. If he proves to be anywhere near as competent on offfense as Chavis is on defense, Miles and the rest of Tiger nation will be happy campers.

Reign, rein go away!
And take with you these mouth-breathing morons who think they have a clue what goes on in designing and executing a game plan.

Asking this question shows a lack of understanding of how a football team works. Offense, defense, and special teams are all interlinked. For example, if we're paying Oregon we might want decide that linking first downs is more desirable than scoring quickly. This would protect our defense.
Or, if we're playing Florida we might decide that taking a few deep shots is a good idea, and our defense can handle the quick turnarounds that come with those quick scores and three-and-outs.
The offensive coaches can't do whatever the hell they want without regard to the overall team strategy for defeating that particular opponent.
BTW, it's the same in business. We develop strategies at the top, push them down to division leaders, and monitor them to make sure they are making the appropriate moves to match the strategy. When they go awry - perhaps exposing us to more risk than we'd like - we override them.

Wins will determime if that holds through the season.

Because Miles doesn't take control of the offense, right? Of course it's feasible. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.
There is not a successful coach in the BCS who doesn't have control of the offense his team runs.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is 100% an idiot.

regardless if LSU has always ran the ball or not, both these guys learned from one of the greats who coached in the big 10, hence the big 10 mentality. Power Football is our style. Take it for what it's worth but to say big 10 mentality has nothing to do with it is just not true
