I think Bama and LSU are about as close a match up as I have ever seen. BUT, I give the nod to LSU.
1. We are deeper. RB,DB,D-line,Special Teams. (This showed in the first game, Bama folded in OT, dead tired)
2. Measuring stick is not one game, but ALL games....Look at our schedule...enough said.
3. We beat Bama in their house. Spotted them 2 interceptions, good field position, had to break in a rusty QB on the fly,and we made better special teams plays.
I really think we are better. YES.

Bama ran 17 plays inside the LSU 30 and netted -12 yards.
This is LSU football in 2011. Big plays in the biggest moments. The goal line pick, the 70 yard punt, the OT series on defense and offense.
On paper, the teams are basically even. Bama having a slight edge on offense and LSU having a big edge on special teams. The difference is on the intangibles side. LSU has several guys that step up at the most critical time and make huge plays. They refuse to lose. Bama, as we have seen, will accept defeat.

I guess you answered your own question.
LSU has, not only a better team than anyone in college football this year, but a better team than anyone in college football has had in several years.
Likewise, so does Alabama. Either team wins the NC without much drama any other year. But, not this year.
I believe that this game will be more offensively exciting than the last, and that LSU will win by a larger margin than last game (did not say a large margin, so don't come after me with houndstooth patterned helicopters).
It was admitted by our coaches that our offensive game plan was wrong last time--they'll fix that.

Bama that they would LOSE a game of that magnitude AT HOME?
'Nuff said. Seriously.

I totally agree with this..... I cant see how anyone could not agree with this.

I do believe LSU is better but not by much, Special Teams and depth is a huge advantage for LSU. I also think LSU is a much better team now than they were in November. One point that I took away from the first game that surprised me was the Bama front seven does not get sideline to sideline as well as I thought. They are a physical bunch but I did not expect to get the edge on them. I think the rematch is going to be a great game. I think these are the only two teams that should be playing and I have great respect for this Alabama team.

To be honest, I don't really care. "Better" is subjective, assuming you don't think the score is an indicator of which team is best. I only care about winning the game...like we did on November 5th, though your mileage may vary.
So I'll make a deal with you guys...you guys can continue to claim the "better team" status, and we'll win the games.
Deal?

Yes.
I have to say that you gumps do a masterful, albeit delusional, job of trying to rewrite history. You lost in your own house, yet the tone of your post is that you are on equal, if not better, footing with the team that beat you. WTF is that?
Why did we even play the game on Nov 5th if you guys are going to continue shitting on us for beating you?
I honestly find your attempt at pandering to us (calling us brethren and saying we are your second favorite team) condescending and insulting when coupled with questioning a team that already beat you if they really think they are better.
You gumps give the word delusional a whole new definition.

a lot of folks seem to think Bama had the better team that day
and this is because? bama had more yardage in the first half. many bama fans vocally insist they are better. nick saban is viewed by many as the best coach in college football. any objective viewer of that game (knowledgable about football and no dog in the hunt) would have to conclude that the two teams were evenly matched except with respect to special teams which would give LSU the advantage of being the best team.

Technically, Bama went into the endzone on the pick 6, however, a self-inflicted penalty nullified the score.
So technically they didn't make it to the redzone. What pick 6? Bama logic and revisionist history again Did Julio Jones make the interception a dead ball again?

Simple
We went to your house and beat you. The scoreboard is the only objective viewer of any sporting event, and therefore, I trust it way more than a bunch of English majors, washed up second string QBs, and Terry Bradshaw.

I think CFN makes a pretty good argument for LSU...What's your justification for BAMA being considered the better team?

It's easy: our defense kept your offense from getting into better position for easier field goals; your defense could not do the same.
It's simple.
It's simple.

3 points that should have been 6 if Ford had not toe'd the line....

Technically, you would've never been in the endzone if your players wouldn't have block 2 LSU players in the back. See how that works?

and this:
YOU ARE ON CRACK if you think Alabama has had a better season than LSU. Even IF the Tide win that last game, they’ll have less overall wins than the Tigers, less wins against winning teams, less wins against ranked teams, less wins against top three teams, less wins against conference champions, less wins against conference division champions, and will have already lost to LSU IN THEIR OWN STADIUM. (The mystical "WORST LOSS", which Bama fans should be all too familiar with, having argued it from the treetops this past month.)
