My guess is they may even close that road off one day.

IIRC its the main or perhaps only road access to the PMAC

How about expanding the roads to multiple lanes to speed up traffic. In an out of Tiger Stadium

I was in section 301 row 5. Awesome view. But yes I wouldn’t want to sit any lower.

THIS. The sound system is the area that the stadium needs the biggest upgrade. I also don't want to block the facade of the north side of the stadium. If I was in charge I would fix the PA system, update the concourses even more (including doing something with the dorms) and then possibly get a bigger screen. The one thing about a screen is I don't want us to have huge pillars on the north side of the stadium like we had in the south before the expansion. I believe in the future the upper decks will be renovated to be more of a lounge/deck and decrease the capacity.

With the stipulation that better sound =/= more sound. The PA system in the NEZ is already too fricking loud.

I realize part of the game here is to be as big of a dick as you can be at times...but do you not see the numbers on the bleachers? The numbers on the bench are the middle of each seat. As you can see, he's nearly on top of the 2 there, which means his seat alone has take half o #2's seat already.

It looks like that's a LONG time before the game. Which means they're just sitting wherever. Let's see a picture of a full row and see where they are. Those look like normal sized stadium seats so I'm sure they scooted over.

LSU fans are fat. For the big games people spill over their "seat" and the row gets crowded as hell. That's why getting one of those seats installed by LSU is such a great idea. It means you always have your seat no one can take or spill over into for the big games when it's packed.

That seat is wider than 16" and is already prohibited and not allowed in the stadium.

They need to focus on renovating the lower concourses/concessions/bathrooms. I think they missed an opportunity by not expanding the lower concourse in the South endzone into the lower structure of the new expansion. They could have put new concessions and restrooms in the lower part of the expansion, since I believe that's pretty much just dead space, and freed up a lot of space for a larger concourse behind the lower south end zone.

I would love to see them do somethign with that big blank wall in the expansion

a Mural would be cool, a large banner for each season may be less risky (would hate to have a bad mural)

Why be like this? This was taken, by me, one section over during pregame. They weren't sitting "where ever." They had those two seats, and subsequently got into nearly a fist fight with the season ticket holders who sit there because their giant lawn chairs were taking up too much space. they did move over, which made the entire row tighten up because ultimately the space needed to come from somewhere since they took an extra seat because of the seize of their chairs.

They aren't...which is why I posted a photo of them. I'm honestly curious what you think the point of this is?

Agreed...but has no bearing on what I'm saying. the seats issued by LSU are significantly smaller than the chairs I've shown you and are sized to fit the actual seat dimensions sold by LSU.

Is this one of those times you're arguing just to argue? I'm in favor of stadium seats, especially for the reason you gave...just not ones larger than the actual seat sold by LSU.

It's not being enforced, unfortunately. That photo was from last year, and there have been some this season as well. But at least there's a rule in place...so that's something.

People need to say something when someone encroaches on their seat space with one of those things.

Are there any plans for the North Endzone to be expanded or putting up a bigger modern video board?

I used to work at TAF for a while after I graduated LSU and asked the question. They have explored the option. A couple of things...

1. They’d have to close N. Stadium Rd., and nobody at LSU wants to do that.
2. The expansion would not only encroach upon Mike’s habitat, but it would also be EXTREMELY close to the PMAC.
3. The people in the ticket office are not confident LSU would be able to sell out.

Instead of adding more seats, you can partially/mostly enclose the NEZ with a large video board similar to the ones in the super dome. Between that, changing all stadium lights to LED’s, and upgrading the sound system, that would greatly enhance the stadium atmosphere.

I love the way Tiger Stadium looks while while crossing the Mississippi bridge. Purple neon lights everywhere and two large screens. Nice.

My opinion, leave the N endzone view the way it is.

To do anything about East and West Stadium Dorms, you'd have to tear down the stadium structure as well...since the upper decks on each side aren't attached, that would be possible...

would be a much more complex process than simply tearing down south stadium dorms...

that could be very interesting, a redone east and west side could have seating starting at the height of what is now row 6 (potentially even higher, so you could see over the players) you'd reduce capacity by a couple of thousand seats, but could potentially get some of those back with a smart design...for example, taking the space that is now East and West Bleachers and turning them into regular seats because you have more room for the ramps without the dorms being there....

I understand that selling out would be hard and there is no point in more seats.

But you will never convince me that it wouldn’t be bad arse to have the NEZ closed up! It would be insane!!
