Not saying I want to see it, but here is a question that may not yet have an answer. If the season was bumped to the Spring, would EEs be eligible to play?

Would Not benefit LSU at all.

We would lose a year of eligibility to play a kid who has barely even practiced against other college athletes. Which early enrollee (or EE) would have serious impact on our team to lose a whole year of eligibility

Unless there was a special ruling, they would be eligible to play. There have been basketball players that started their senior year of high school, then decided to graduate and started playing college basketball in January as soon as they registered for classes.

This is a difficult situation, especially if they had played their senior year of high school with only a few months before they are playing again. There is also the situation of if some of the players with high draft rating would even play in the spring or not.

Isn't that what most non-EE true freshmen do in the fall anyway?

This year, Gilbert and Gaye.

I’d love to see the EEs play using slide rules to calculate the next play’s amount of resistance to overcome when..........Nevermind.

Unless there was a special ruling, THE MAJORITY would NOT be eligible to play.

There are scholarship limits by academic year that have to be respected. An EE's scholarship can be applied either to the current year (20-21) if you have space, or the next (21-22). Assuming we don't sign a late transfer, we only have one spot available. That guy can probably play.

Stingley was kind of in this position when he practiced with the team for bowl prep. He wasn't allowed to play, but I don't remember if we couldn't back count him or, if we could, it just wasn't allowed.
