If I were to guess, I would say it's going to be a Tiger.
We have one in front of Tiger cage, one in front of football stadium, and one in front of softball complex.

thanks bpap, some luck involved, now be interested to see how it is handled, I am always afraid of the PC crowd...arguing over shaq vs pistol is one thing, but when you get gymnastics and others inovolved who knows what will happen...

I would've prefered pete but he's got his name on the building. maybe that's why they decided shaq. Overall im not upset about it. Plus i think that statue looks pretty good.

Shaq is and always has been a great guy but I hope this doesn't happen. Leave the stupid fricking statues of athletes and coaches to Bama and Florida.

It's gotta be donations. I'd do Maravich and Bob Petit before Shaq, but they really could do much worse. Remember, Alabama has a statue of their current coach. Risky if he winds up in a sex scandal or recruiting scandal and sets the program back.

The statue of Shaq must be because of some donation Shaq made for the facility, may have been a requirement of Shaq. If they put Shaq out there you have to put Pistol in front of PMAC

I have to admit...that looks really, really cool. I still think Maravich deserves one now, though...maybe on the other side, between the PMAC and Tiger Stadium.

Shaq didnt get his degree while at LSU either, he finished up after leaving.
