he's*
than*

You're funny.

I hope he makes the team, but he should play overseas instead of the D league if he can. If he's playing d league, he's not making much money.

So non really guaranteed. Aren't all nba contracts guaranteed if you make the team?

Unless the wording in the contract states otherwise. Im pretty sure if he does make the team the contract is guaranteed but until then its not.i could be wrong and lately ive been a swing and miss poster.

TQ showed flashes he could play at a high level. With the right team, he'll stick.

If he recommits himself to defense, he can make it for a long time. He should have been the best perimeter defender in the SEC last season, but if his shot wasn't falling, he became a liability on both ends of the floor.

no. there are some contracts that don't become fully guaranteed until a couple months into the season. like early-mid January. not all that common, but it happens to some fringe guys.

I wish him the best. Although, he did not make the most of his last season at LSU to the detriment of both he and the LSU BB team. Also, both he and Simmons leaving without completing the spring semester will affect the APR for the year, unfortunately. Time to move on as a LSU fan and hope for the best for the upcoming season.

Re comment about d league being 25K.

Roughly five years ago d league guys were making as low as $13-K. Not sure about now. Big price to pay to go after your dreams.

I've been tough on him as a fan b/c last year was such a waste but good for him. The guy has talent IMO it's about him buying in mentally I guess. Hope ut turns out well for him.

Something like that. Hes really just a preseason body

Yeah that is pretty much it. He is guaranteed a place in training camp which theoretically gives him a chance to make the team although the odds are long. He is signed for the NBA minimum but if he doesn't make the team then that amount is prorated for the amount of time he spent with them. So it doesn't amount to much money at all. And no the Trail Blazers don't have a D league team.

That is way off unless he actually makes the team. I am sure he is not signed for more than the minimum NBA salary which is $525,000. The part that is guaranteed is a pro-rated amount paid as long as he is on the team.

If you divide that salary by 52 weeks it comes out to about $10,000 a week. You figure he lasts two or three weeks in training camp and he makes at most $30,000.

After he gets cut, since he wasn't drafted he can negotiate with any team in the NBA and could end up on their D league team. The D league has a three tier salary setup which is $25,000, $19,000 or $13,000. So if he makes one of those teams he makes $13, 000. He can sign 10 day contracts with NBA team if he is called up.

too early. Got to wait to see if he actually makes the roster. This contract doesn't mean that.

TQ might just grow up and do well for himself. He's as talented as Garrett Temple. NBA ain't gonna put up with any negative stuff from him though.

Here are the contract numbers those interested in his pockets. This is the numbers he'd make in full if he plays out the contract.
