Crowton is the supposed QB coach. I hope that Coach Miles is letting the 2 new guys help coach them up. Coach Gonzales and Coach Ensminger both have the credentials
I would be in favor of just about anyone as the OC instead of Crowton, and I agree that he has done a terrible job in the QB coaching part of it. But could you please explain what credentials Gonzales has as a QB coach? Is it his time playing WR, coaching WRs, or coaching RBs that makes him so qualified to coach QBs?
Again, I'm not defending Crowton in any way. But those expecting some miracle from Gonzales in a department in which he has never played or coached are probably going to be disappointed.

Gonzo isn't the QB coach, its still Crowton. Hopefully Gonzo will help the QB's (both of them) to recognize what a defense looks like.

Prior to this season, GC served as unofficial QB coach. I'm hoping Gonzo and possibly Ensminger are due to help the QB's along this season.

Coaching wide receivers and Quarterback kinda go hand in hand. As for as mechanics no. But teaching the quarterback and receivers to read defences and making adjustments in routes. Gonzo coached Percy Harvin who is very similar to Shep in skill and how he will be utilized. This information has to be understood by both positions.

Other than the fact that he's worked for so many years under Meyer, he doesn't have any credentials to coach QB's. Maybe, just maybe, he's learned a little something about the position from Urban and at least can help the QB's with technique, seeing the field and reading defenses. The QB's certainly haven't gotten much better from any coaching by the "Wizard"......

Agreed. We aren't going to see a major change in offense until Crowton is gone. And yes, Crowton is the QB 'coach' .... although I really don't think he coaches them but makes them learn his plays. "ok, you're going to drop back, look at WR#1, then glance over to WR#2, after you glance, make sure there is no defender around WR#1, if there is, scramble and try passing to WR#2, but if you have a lot of field, run with it, if not then throw it, also don't forget about WR#3, he might be open too...you got that Jefferson?...oh wait, the RB will go out for a pass too, so look for him"
