i'm so sick of hearing this freakin "if they played in the SEC" bullshite. Boise and TCU would have both skullfricked LSU this year. these are the same morons who say "coach Peterson/Patterson/Kelly, they would never make it in the SEC". go talk to Urban Meyer and find out if he "works" in the SEC.

THIS PLUS FREAKIN' INFINITY

I'd take BSU or TCU's coach in a heart beat.

I think you need to go back and look at there schedule the last few years. You are smoking rope if you think they have played a tougher schedule than us the last few years.
First off, take the time to read my post. This year, TCU has a more impressive schedule (& wins) than Tex &, obviously, much more impressive wins than LSU. And Boise beat TCU.
Both of these teams have been doing it for years. Maybe the schedules haven't always been more impressive, but that's not their fault.
This year, there really is no question that either of them would be the 3rd best team in the SEC and the best team in some BCS conf. To say that their not both top 5 caliber teams is foolish.
What 5 teams in the country are better than TCU or Boise? (I'll give you UT, Bama & UF)
It's hard to find 5 in the entire country this year. To say they would be middle of the pack or lower in the SEC (which has 3 ranked teams) is just dumb.

No doubt.
Either you don't watch closely or understand CFB to say that you wouldn't (if you are an LSU fan).

Get over it. Both are solid teams that did what they needed to do this year with much less money than LSU. We (LSU) would lose to either team if they played today despite our superior athletes. You don't win 12 and 14 by being a bad team.

Yeah, Boise State sucks. That's how they beat Oklahoma 3 years ago in the Fiesta Bowl. They would have beaten LSU this year.

It's been a long time since OU's beaten anybody in a BCS bowl.

Both would have wore LSU out this year. I doubt if you would have scored 10 points on either team.

Boise also beat a very solid Oregon team, they definitely could have beaten a sloppy LSU team.

Amen brother...both of those teams would prolly beat us, and I would kill to have Patterson as the next LSU coach...he's a legit top program coach...he's hands on, aggressive defensive guy...give him our athletes and he might be the next big name in coaching...

If you are trying to discredit BSU's win 3 years ago, OU was was still the Big XII Champs. I would consider it a good win.

I guess I don't understand the fascination with tearing them down, a team with a small athletic budget from a small conference (budget) in a remote part of the country. Good for them.

No. He was referring to someone making a completely stupid statement when the facts clearly support something else. If said poster would have done some research, he wouldn't have made that statement and done it in a jerkoff manner. (maybe he still would have, but he'd be even more of a jerkoff)

the bcs should have pitted Boise State against Ga tech and TCU against Iowa,,,,they both may have won but at least in a vast majority of peoples mind seeing them compete on a national stage against top tier competition would have elevated their status

Granted that playing in a week-in, week-out tough conference brings some challenges that neither Boise St. or TCU are probably ready for. Both would probably picked-up a loss or two.

That being said, only Bama and UF would've finished ahead of them this yr.

Now for the other side of this. Give their coaching staffs SEC quality athletes and my guess is they would have handed out some tail-whuppin's in the SEC.

Looked like two well-prepared, well-coached teams going at it last night.

Outside of AL and Florida, the SEC hasnt looked that great this year and Florida is the only one that looked good in a bowl. The Big10 has been better in the bowls.

Agreed. They both would do ok but would not hold up to the week in week out tough schedule.

Boise's my least favorite team in college football, for a few different reasons. They sicken me.

That said, saying they wouldn't even make a bowl in the SEC is hilarious. I do think, though, that they'd only finish something like 9-3, maybe even 8-4.
