Berry has been out the past 3 weeks with a hamstring pull that they didn’t want to mess with; so they shut him down. It’s been said that if this were the season, and a real game, he’d be able to play. So it’s nothing serious.

Headed to the Box now.
Guessing Merifield must have been shut down after something last weekend. He didn't play in ULL exhibition game and isn't playing today.
I notice Drost is missing from the lineup as well, which is certainly new.

After top of the 2nd, Gold leads 2-0.
Scored off a single by Stevenson, followed by a triple from Cranford, and a sacrifice by Haddid. Lansville hit around some that inning. Ended on a welll struck long fly to LF warning track by B. Doughty.

Yeah, they’ve done it a couple times recently for part of a scrimmage.
I think it is more being done tonight due to some players being held out; so they only have so many options.

Yeah. Hard to say how much of the lineups are influenced by Johnson and how much he allowed Bianco and B. Doughty to set their own lineups. But I will say for a bunch of the scrimmages this fall he has had Milazzo hitting higher up in the orders for whatever reason.
Coaches aren’t interfering at all. In fact, Kelly was sitting in the stands right behind home plate. Haven’t spotted where Johnson or some of the others are sitting; but if they are in dugouts, they are staying to the back of them, because I haven’t seen them in railings.
