I have been pouring over our game film from each game this year and I have identified the problem with our running game. Apparently the stupid coaches have failed to teach our offensive linemen how to block two defenders at a time.

Our problem is our offense doesnt have a Johnson this year

Herm on OL and Quinn at FB the past few years were huge assets to our dominant running game

Actually, he has a point. In just the first series vs MSU, there were 9 in the box on the first play, 6 in the box on the second ( with 2 DBs cheating up & in ) and 9 in the box on the third play. The theme goes on throughout the game.

What really baffles me is ( sadly ) our offense always looks to the sideline now after lining up but before running a play, so why are the coaches not calling hot routes or audibles with so many so close to the line?
