Did this go to all TAF members or just the ones who have baseball season tickets?

Just baseball season ticket holders.

The first game that is available at face value is game 5. Crappy seats are $29.

Again, cheapest seat for LSU/UCLA is $215. I assume that's a crappy seat too. That would be a 700 percent markup.

We got seats earlier today for Games 7 and 8 (one will be LSU's Tuesday game) at face value.

Some of the tickets above the LSU dugout are selling for $648. I would assume that these are the tickets allotted to the school, because a shitload of similar tickets on the UCLA side are available.

If this is a TAF member, he should be ashamed of himself.

Pretty sure is the top 486 TAF members, which basically means the people that are loaded and give millions to TAF

You misunderstand the process.

Enlighten. I'm still at LSU so I don't know how the non student process works for tickets

It seems like a good system to me.

These "fat cats" could save a lot of money for themselves by just buying the tickets for the games they want to see on stubhub, etc. Even buying all of these tickets scalped they would spend less than the significant amount of money they donate each year through thick and thin. Then they still have to purchase the tickets on top of that.

Some people just feel entitled to stuff. But the TAF point system helps entice and reward those that make significant financial contributions that keep our program on top. Despite this, you can still accumulate a pretty high TAF rating simply by donating 100 dollars per year for a while, which is a nice way of throwing a bone to the average loyal fan.

Are tickets harder to get now that the new stadium has been built? In 09, we were able to buy tickets down the left field line online right after the two championship teams were decided.... Sounds like that isn't the case anymore

It's going to take a lot of cash to crack the top 500, that's for sure.

I have no problem with the way TAF does its tickets. I just wish there was a way to make the people who buy the tickets actually use the tickets and not gobble them up with the sole purpose of selling their tickets to other TAF members at a ridiculous markup.

I completely agree with the way the PPS is utilized for ticket distribution. I don't know if I would give out as many tickets as the AD does to the top 100, but the system itself is a good one.

I'm a baseball season ticket holder and we were told you must pick the tickets up in person in Omaha...seems more likely that those requesting and receiving them are actually planning to use them.

Well, the only way for the tickets to be obtained is to pick them up in Omaha, by the season ticket holder himself. That is my understanding, anyway

Some people give to LSU because they want to feel they are helping the university. Any personal benefits are secondary.
