I like 30's fielding technique here
shoulders squared in front of the ball, weight forward on his toes, knees flexed, eyes tracking the ball, glove turned up, off hand ready to catch and throw

I disagree. He's about to field that ball off of his left foot. Now I have heard many people teach to line the ball up on your left foot, but your last movement is to step across the ball with your left foot so that you catch the ball in the middle of your body and your momentum is now moving towards first base.
In this photo Bregman is fielding the ball on the left foot and he has no momentum moving to first base. His only momentum seems to be moving away from the ball (stepping back with his left foot), and this is exactly how the hop got past him and into centerfield in Omaha last year.
