Looking at all available data, I just can't get a feel for this game one way or another. Very little would surprise me in terms of outcomes.
I hope that's not just the optimist in me simply refusing to see that which I do not wish to see.
I guess I'm going to go with our guys are talented and athletic enough to overcome MSU's defensive prowess.

Interesting break down of the game. Lack of research shows some glaring errors and omissions. I guess you can be overconfident when you make-up a story line.
“and finally they lost reserve big man Kyle Aherns”
Actually he’s a shooting guard or small forward.
“You may have noticed that they play almost all forwards except Winston and MacQuaid”
So apparently Henry & Brown are forwards solely and their games are just like Tillman’s & Ward’s, amirite?
“They don't have long players”
So depending on where you look, MSU is a top 5 team in blocks, but doesn’t have any length. It’s amazing that stubby armed guys like Goins, Tillman, & Ward can block so many shots & get as many rebounds as they do. When I see Henry & Brown I think “T-Rex” as well.
“Michigan State do a terrible terrible job at creating turnovers.”
I guess some people believe every team tries to create turnovers, I wonder how surprised they’d be to learn some teams don’t try to create turnovers. Also, the constant attack on the English language by this person is terrifying.
“Winston, McQuaid, and Goins are the only players who can or will shoot from the outside.”
I just looked, Aaron Henry is shooting 37.5% from 3 & has made six 3 pt shots in the last eight games. For comparison, Winston has made eight over the last eight games. LSU’s most accurate 3 pt shooter is hitting 37.9% of his 3pt shots...
“I think LSU is deeper and 1-8 much more talented.” “If you had to list the top 10 most talented players, I think LSU has 6 maybe 7 to Michigan State's 3-4.”
Ok, I’ll give you LSU is deeper, but LSU only plays 8 guys. I really had to pause while reading the second comment, just to soak it in. I don’t know who he thinks the top 3-4 MSU players are, but he’s really loving his Bayou Bengals to say 6 or 7 of the 10 best players will be LSU Tigers.
That was one of the worst game previews I’ve ever read. Inaccurate, homerific, & linguistically lazy

Big implies size not position. He is a bigger person...

being a forward or SF does not imply their game is all 100%.

While being long does help getting blocks, being good at blocking does not imply length. Compared to LSU and most the teams we've faced in the SEC MSU lacks length.

He doesn't imply that you must create turnovers to be good defensively, only states that Michigan State hasn't turned people over all year.

This is an LSU fan site, he's allowed to be a homer. It paints a better picture than you are willing to see but of course it has some holes, he hasn't watched every MSU game this year or something. He's not a paid professional, he's a fan with a keyboard who wanted to get others excited for the matchup.
Hope you came here to do more than bash the original content.

Dandy's comparison chart
– LSU’s overwhelming best statistic in comparison to Michigan State is steals. The Tigers manage nearly double the amount of steals as the Spartans do with their pressure on the ball, and Michigan State commits 13 turnovers per game just like the Tigers. So if LSU can take advantage of steals and get some fast-break buckets, this could be the Tigers’ best chance of upsetting Michigan State.

Tiger Ree whats the vibe around the athletic department with Alleva running off Wade for little to no reason?

Everything is pretty much the same - a 24 hour party every day.
Cocaine and crystal meth in the mornings to wake everybody up. Around 9 or so it switches to valium and quaaludes. Quiet time and naps from 11 until 2ish.
Then the alcohol, coke, meth, crank etcetera all afternoon.
Of course there is weed all day. Dave Aranda has been getting Hawaiian hash-strem. That shite is where the term "BUZZ" comes from. It makes your ears ring or buzz for a couple hours.
Bill Busch brought the cocaine joint with him which is pretty cool. You take cocaine and roll it in some Tops rolling papers, wrap that with the foil from juicy fruit gum, heat it with a Bic lighter until it melts and becomes a solid glass like pin joint. You then roll that with the Hawaiian hash-strem. Makes your mouth numb and prevents you from having to eat an entire pizza.
This is why the football staff works long hours. Nobody wants to go home.
Everyone found out about Will Wade a couple weeks ago, then two or three times last week and had to be reminded again yesterday. Wednesday is Will's day to provide munchies. He has been missed.
Some chick from the sports information department makes a mean punch. She won't tell anyone all of the ingredients but it has a lot of alcohol, pepsi, root beer, and other stuff. she puts vitamin B and says it helps with memory.
What was your question again?

Definitely a Michigan State fan.
If this preview triggered you, you are really going to be triggered when we win tomorrow night.

This is great. I’m here, my man.
I guess I’m making up your loss to Illinois and your 2 losses to Indiana?
First, Aherns is by no means a SG. If you know so much about Spartans, then you can see the guy is not a SG. I watched the Michigan game when he got hurt. He was playing SF when he got hurt. I’m honestly not sure the guy played SG once the entire season.
Aaron Henry is a SF who slashes and can hit an occasional 3. LSU has played teams all year that bombard us from deep. In the SEC, teams get out and run and launch 3’s. Henry averages .9 3-point attempts per game. He has NEVER shot more than 2 3-point attempts in a game. He averages 21 mins a game so it’s not like he doesn’t play. Don’t come in here acting like Aaron Henry is some knockdown shooting who just isn’t getting a chance. I would say it’s a credit to the young man that he plays within himself and knows his strengths.
Brown is basically the same way.
About LSU’s shooting...MSU and LSU play differently. We shoot tons of contested 3’s because one of our best offenses is an offensive rebound. We have quality shooters when they are left open. You are in for a LONG day if you’re looking at stats like that to judge LSU. Tremont Waters on paper can’t shoot for shite, but you’re gonna learn tomorrow.
My English language? I actually have pretty proper grammar along with words. Saying “amirite” is no more an attack on the English language than saying “terrible terrible”...and yea, you’re one of the worst teams in the country at turning your opponent over? What’s wrong? You can’t handle the truth? I even said that’s not how your team plays D
And sorry, but Naz Reid, Skylar Mays, Tre Waters, Javonte Smart, and KBW are all 100% top 10 in the game, and I would argue that 5-star Emmitt Williams is top 10.
Not sure this guy knows this, but Josh Langford isn’t walking through the door on Friday. LSU has more talented players. People who do this for a living acknowledge this. However, MSU is deploying one of the greatest CBB coaches ever and MSU is more well coached and not as erratic.
I needed this, now I’m getting hyped

MSU certainly lost to Illinois & Indiana (2x), MSU’s failures in those games highlight the areas LSU may be able to hurt MSU. Turnovers & Offensive rebounds.
Actually, Ahrens is a SG/SF. LINK Not only has Langford been out, but McQuaid missed multiple games, which led Ahrens to play the 2 some. The wings, 2 & 3, at MSU are essentially interchangeable, to a significant degree the same can be said for the 4 & 5. The duties for the 3 & 4 are almost always dissimilar, though both are “forwards”.
Henry has been used, & produced, at different levels following the injuries to Langford & then Ahrens. After Langford’s injury (game 14 to present) Henry has averaged nearly 25 minutes a game. Since Ahrens’ injury vs Indiana (& then again vs Michigan), Henry has seen his minutes jump to over 30, & he’s averaging 8.5 pts 6+ rebs & attempted 1.4 3s per gm (making 54.5%) over that 8 game span. LINK
I’m curious how you rank MSU’s top 4-5 players. You indicated LSU may have the 6-7 of the Top 10, & have provided the names of 6 Tigers, but I’m unsure who you have at 2 through 5 for MSU.

McQuaid and Ward (I almost picked Goins over Ward but when Ward plays 20+ minutes he can be a massive X Factor). I think McQuaid is the best perimeter defender and he's a great shooter. I think because of the lack of depth at the guard position it makes him even that more important. TIllman has picked up his scoring and rebounding lately, and he's the best low post blocker of the bunch although Ward and Goins are no slouches. I think Goins would be next because of his ability to rebound and spread the floor. Those are easily the next in line after Winston, in my opinion.

So: 2) McQuaid; 3) Ward; 4) Goins; 5) Tillman?
(Can we all agree the game won’t suck like the UM-TTU & UVA-Oregon games. My eyes, they burn.)
