Interesting break down of the game. Lack of research shows some glaring errors and omissions. I guess you can be overconfident when you make-up a story line.
“and finally they lost reserve big man Kyle Aherns”
Actually he’s a shooting guard or small forward.
“You may have noticed that they play almost all forwards except Winston and MacQuaid”
So apparently Henry & Brown are forwards solely and their games are just like Tillman’s & Ward’s, amirite?
“They don't have long players”
So depending on where you look, MSU is a top 5 team in blocks, but doesn’t have any length. It’s amazing that stubby armed guys like Goins, Tillman, & Ward can block so many shots & get as many rebounds as they do. When I see Henry & Brown I think “T-Rex” as well.
“Michigan State do a terrible terrible job at creating turnovers.”
I guess some people believe every team tries to create turnovers, I wonder how surprised they’d be to learn some teams don’t try to create turnovers. Also, the constant attack on the English language by this person is terrifying.
“Winston, McQuaid, and Goins are the only players who can or will shoot from the outside.”
I just looked, Aaron Henry is shooting 37.5% from 3 & has made six 3 pt shots in the last eight games. For comparison, Winston has made eight over the last eight games. LSU’s most accurate 3 pt shooter is hitting 37.9% of his 3pt shots...
“I think LSU is deeper and 1-8 much more talented.” “If you had to list the top 10 most talented players, I think LSU has 6 maybe 7 to Michigan State's 3-4.”
Ok, I’ll give you LSU is deeper, but LSU only plays 8 guys. I really had to pause while reading the second comment, just to soak it in. I don’t know who he thinks the top 3-4 MSU players are, but he’s really loving his Bayou Bengals to say 6 or 7 of the 10 best players will be LSU Tigers.
That was one of the worst game previews I’ve ever read. Inaccurate, homerific, & linguistically lazy
