Yeah I don't have a problem with breaking up the ice wagons.

So I guess you mean that literally... The answer is No. Because then you have a guy bouncing from Thursday to Saturday and that's only 4 days rest.
How am I missing the 4 days in this equation? If Lange were to stay on Friday next week he would be on the usual 6 days, Poche would be on 8 moving back to Saturday. Godfrey would also pick up an extra day with the third game next week being on Sunday, and would be on 7 days.
I could see if you just want to keep it the same because it gives us the best chance, or if you want to make sure Lange gets the extra day like the other two with the normal Fri-Sun series next week. But I don't see where short rest comes into play.
ETA: I'm assuming he meant the rotation would stay Lange - Poche - Godfrey from next week forward.

He meant keeping Lange on Friday. Period. At least that's how I took it. It was a confusing question the way he worded it.
But if Poche has to jump from Saturday to Thursday keeping Lange on Fridays, that's your 4 days.

That makes sense. I assumed he meant the rotation order not necessarily the day, because I admit the thought crossed my mind as well (with the order not days).

I could see the switch taking place now if they each pitch the way they did last week.

Yeah, exactly what I meant. I wasn't referring to the rotation order, but the actual day of the week. I was thinking back to how Mainieri has in the past bumped his Saturday starter to Thursday to keep the Friday starter on the same schedule.
Though this is a little different scenario as we have many Thursday night games. So instead of pitching on four days rest once or twice, the Saturday/Thursday guy would have to do it 5 times.
