He didn’t really say much. They let Hunt do most of the talking. And he made the same claims that he did on Hannys show. He thinks LSU is guaranteed a spot with 14 SEC wins. He’s lost his mind.

You don't think an LSU team with 14 league wins, 5 SEC series wins, a Top 25 RPI, a Top 5 SOS and 10 Q1 wins is getting into the field?

EDIT: My math was wrong on the series results. Point remains, though.

If Kentucky/Georgia ends up at only 13 wins what then?
You look at the teams they beat. The only good series win LSU has is Ole Miss. period. UK and UGA have better wins.

I think LSU is the only team that has a chance this year to get an at large bid with 13 wins. UK has series losses to LSU (Home) and Georgia (Away). They're out with only 13 wins. Their only current series wins are against Mizzou, Auburn, and Alabama.

Georgia has a Vandy series win in their pocket. However, if they lose both remaining series, they'll be 3-7 in SEC series.

If LSU wins both series 2-1, they'll end up 13-17 but be 5-5 in weekend SEC series. It will depend on how the committee values series results versus record and standings. I think most reports are saying that RPI is being thrown out this year. But if it's considered, LSU will probably have the highest RPI among bubble teams.

I think that if LSU, Alabama, UK, and Georgia are all at 13 wins, LSU would get the nod.

Let's just hope LSU can sweep this weekend win the next to make it 14.

Where are you getting 10 Q1 wins?

And no. I don’t. 5 SEC series wins with only 1 vs a currently ranked team. An OOC, bad series loss. Multiple sweep losses. And Cohen heading it up.

Wouldn’t 2/3 from Bama get us to 10?

If Q1 is top 25, then we are stuck at 7. And if La Tech drops one more, it goes to 5.

Prediction on how Baseball ends year

If we see Milazzo in 8 hole, we’re going 6-0. Hilliard resurgence is the catalyst.

Suck it haterz.

I’m not sure what it goes by, but Warren Nolan has Q1 (1-50).

Then a Bama sweep would be 11 and that makes sense.

We’re going to do the same thing that Florida State did 2 years ago

Fair enough. We just disagree.

I think the metrics I laid out SHOULD trump teams like Maryland and Tulane who have been even worse than LSU against "top end teams" even though the teams LSU has played on the "top end" are far better than the ones those other teams played.

My main point is that I just don't understand rewarding Maryland for beating Northwestern and Illinois but penalizing LSU for losing to Arkansas and Vanderbilt as well as diminishing wins over Auburn and A&M.

We have data to level playing fields between conferences. I think they should use it.

Of course, this all hinges on LSU finishing the deal over the next 9 days.

Don’t get me wrong Hunt. If I’m on the committee, I would do things differently too. But I’m not and I don’t trust the history of the committee or who heads it up. You’ve got the Grow the Game attitude and a POS who has zero love for LSU. I think there’s an almost zero shot with 13 wins. Less than 50% with 14 wins. But once we hit 15, I think it jumps to 95+.

They should be penalizing the Big Ten for not participating with the rest of the world. Give them their one auto bid and frick the rest of them.

That's not really accurate. They've invested a ton over the last decade in new stadiums and such.

But frick em anyway. They shouldn't be rewarded for trying to frick everything up for everyone else.

Then I’m not up to date on the narrative. What teams have new stuff? Is it any good?

I guess I was wrong about "decade". The most recent were Indiana and Penn State upgrading theirs in 2013. Penn State's stadium was also used for a short season minor league team but will now host an MLB draft league team. So their facilities are at least decent. Indiana's are nice.

Before that there were a couple upgrades in 2006-07.

And then Nebraska who has a very nice park, but that was established more in their Big 12 days.
