It's amusing that some believe Sam Leavitt won't struggle when he returns to practice. When he was healthy, he couldn't pass for over 100 yards against Mississippi State. The switch up is going to be fun to watch.
Why don’t bring up how he threw for over 300 on a great Texas Tech defense and beat them? Or almost beating UTexas the year prior? He was #1 player in portal for a reason

can you tell us how the D-line rotations look,
Umanmielen & Ross 1st team edges
Dylan Carpenter, Jaylen Brown ran as 2s
DT was rotated continuously, tough to nail down who was running with 1s
Finney is legit. Flashes of freshman Stingley but it’s still early. I’m super excited about him.
TJ Dottery blew up multiple runs for a loss while playing MLB lined up over the guard/center.

Anything from Shanklin or Michael Turner?

Didn’t see Shanklin out there much. Think he’s running with 3s. Had my eyes on other players.
Michael Turner had a good rep against Jackson Harris. He plays fast and broke up a deep ball to Harris. Won’t start but may rotate in.
I think CB shakes out like this:
Pickett/Woodland - boundary
Finney - slot
Jakeem Jackson - CB3/4
Michael Turner - CB5

Charles Ross? When did he switch to Edge?

Jordan Ross (Tennessee transfer) - should’ve been clearer on that.
Charles Ross played well today at LB, he was in the area of a lot of runs. He stood out to me. Had a batted ball and a TFL today.

Saw that as well. Walked over to trainers but was quickly back out there during the red zone portion of 11-on-11. Can confirm he’s not injured.

Jackson Harris is our deep threat and stood out the most to me.
Jayce Brown is our “Malik Nabers” style of taking a short pass to the house/YAC WR. He’s a stud.
Philly Wright will play due to his speed. He had a couple great reps today.
Obviously Trey’Dez is our best weapon but he’s not a WR.
Jabari Mack is for real too. Definitely looks like a standout true freshman. I hope he plays in the fall. Too good to keep off the field.

Appreciate all the notes and information from practice.
Going to listen to scones recap on my way home tonight and compare to your notes. But I don’t think you’re him

If I was him I would be giving my notes on a video like he does.

Havon Finney added an interception on a deep ball along the sideline during 7-on-7. (Was covering Philly Wright) His coverage skills are impressive and he will undoubtedly push for CB3 spot. I really think he will be CB3 come week 1.
If this comes to pass LSU will in good shape as far as 2 deep at corner.

Seems like Finney is getting glowing reviews from several sources now. Hope this continues because we need him.

Finney is young for his grade, before he reclassed a grade he was a high 5 star #1CB prospect. The talent surely is there to be next great one

Dilin Jones ran with the 1s today, Harlem Berry ran with the 2s, and Caden Durham ran with the 3s. Figured I should note that. Jones was the most impressive player on offense today. He has a quick initial burst and fights for extra yards on every rep. He will be a big factor for us this season.
Jones sounds like the hidden gem this portal cycle, love to hear this.

Did anyone stand out on the EDGE?
Does Ross look like he'll be ready to start this fall?

The Oaks members from TAF were invited out there today to watch practice, are you one of them? They are going to one practice next week also.
