Sunday night: find out your traveling to the pacific northwest. Logiatically squeeze in practice, flight, game prep.

Let's assume a victory and flight home. Next up, a possible trip to Ohio against Dayton.

Win there, load up and likely head back to the pac nw to face Washington. Win that one, head back to BR, and load up for the big apple.

That is a potentially brutal travel schedule. The NIT sure didn't do LSU any favors.

That's what happens when you are competing to be #69

Dayton is hosting the NCAA tournament. If LSU and Dayton both win, I don't know where the game would be played, because apparently LSU won't host.

True, but don't discount this tournament too much. It may actually help LSU more to play, maybe, a few games in this tournament instead of getting bounced in Rd 1 of the Big Dance. Teams that go far in the NIT typically fare much better the next season.

Given the "showing" of our fans at the sec tourney 70 miles down the road, I'm not surprised they have us traveling all over.

I agree...that's why I am disappoint that we didn't give ourselves a better opportunity to host (assuming we would have a better chance to advance playing at home)...see my thread on this:

Do you honestly think the team that wins the NIT is worse than some of the automatic qualifiers to the big dance?

LSU isn't winning a game in the pacific northwest in the first round anyways so it's a moot point.

I cringe whenever I think about playing in the Pacific Northwest because of the Wazzu game from 2009.

It's where free throws go to die.

No but they did what they needed to do to make the Big Dance...win their crappy conference, have a better RPI than us, etc.

they may have had a practice late last night and hit the road this morning. probably have a run thru this evening and a shoot around in the morning.

we may get that tuesday/monday slot meaning if we win our next game won't be till next monday (happened to oklahoma st. last yr)

if thats the case, by this time next week dayton may be available, not sure if they are hosting women's games as well.

I wish people who don't have a clue wouldn't post.

Hey cap'n, our following has zero to do with not hosting a game. The PMAC is booked. If we averaged 12,000 in attendance, it wouldn't have mattered

That trip to Washington and getting curbstomped by UAB in Boise in 2005 are exactly why I feel that way. Obviously that has nothing to do with 2012 but still..

I not saying they are a lock to win, but can you expound upon your brilliance and enlighten the rest of us to why this average team cant beat and average Oregon team?

I remember Hawthorne's call on Chris Bass's two missed FTs that would have clinched it. He sounded like someone kicked his dog, then pissed on the front door of his house.

Did you see how LSU played on the road against an average Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Auburn this season? Don't act like they're somekind of road warriors.
