It’s easier to blame Moffitt than admit LSU has not recruited linemen up the previous standards or developed them for shite. It’s funny how crap line play is because of S&C, Moffitt isn’t the reason the left side of the line would miss their assignments.

Not all injuries are directly related to conditioning, but some are. When you consider how out of shape the team has been, which has been confirmed by both player and coach comments and the eye test over the last two seasons, and the higher number of injuries, it’s easy to see some correlation.
All that said, the conditioning issue is the real problem. If he can’t keep players engaged in the S&C program and develop a culture of accountability anymore, then he’s got to go. Who cares how good his program is if the players aren’t executing it? We’ve seen this degrade over the the end of Miles’ tenure to now, so it isn’t just an O problem, either.
Maybe this isn’t all on Moffitt, but he’s been too much of a part of the problem to be part of the solution. Like many have said here, building a new culture means making some moves like this.
