Per my sources, this is exactly what the discussions are involving. One large sum payment to BK, and we remove the mitigation clause.

The present value of BK’s buyout of 54 million for 5 years at 10% interest is about $33.5 million.
So $30 million buyout right now is almost an even swap. 12.5% interest then that’s an even swap.
I wonder if BK has a 12.5% investment in mind?

That’s a damn good deal if LSU can pull it off. I know for a fact Scott is not negotiating that. Scott would pay the full 54 with a 10 million dollar adder.

BK is done, he is not taking another job and is not retiring. He will demand LSU pay his buyout and he will leave pissed but rich.
