Raymond shouldn't be a permanent candidate. Hopefully O will go outside his comfort zone and get a young up-and-coming DC, similar to Aranda when Les got him from Wisconsin. If O would've have gone that route instead of Pelini, we wouldn't be amidst a giant clusterF like we are now. Hire someone desirable with an upward career trajectory, not downward.

Should start and end with Brad White and Zach Arnett.

Elko would be a HC moving forward not another DC

This would not surprise me at all. In fact might be my pick. I think O and him are close. But I don't think he's getting fired.

I'm in on the David Reeves bandwagon as you'd think he would be attainable. Leonhard would be a great hire, but I highly doubt he'd leave there.

Marcus Freeman looks good, as does Brad White and Zach Arnett.

A couple names I haven't heard thrown around a lot that may be intriguing are Clark Lea from ND and Andy Avalos from Orgeron.

I don't think many of the names here are realistic. Elko is going to be too expensive. Leonard is not leaving his alma mater as a coordinator. Freeman might go but iirc he's had p5 offers and turned them down.

My ideal pick would be Barry Odom. I don't know what his buyout situation is with Mizzou but I don't think he'd be that expensive. If Derek Mason is fired he'd be a good get.

Odom is at Arkansas

But would be a home run hire

Yes but he was just fired from Mizzou. Sometimes a coach is cheaper to get because they are also getting paid by the place they got fired from. Could be the case with Odom.
