Good. I never said it was an Apocalypse, though.

The storm's projected path has shifted more to the northwest for 4 consecutive advisories. This is a good trend. It is also no longer a threat to Houston as a Tropical Storm; only a Depression.

Provo is the best choice for next Saturday's game. Any other decision puts the teams and fans at risk.

No flooding in downtown Houston right now.

If the NW shift trend continues, you'll start to see the projected rain totals in Houston keep going down. The key is that this thing is going to be stalled for a while; but as of now that stalling will not be in Houston.

Only light showers on the north side of Houston; no flooding or potentially game-moving factors in sight.

Seems like business is going on as usual today for quite a few places in Houston

You watch too much news. They love to exaggerate these storms to get the most eyeballs. Houston is not getting 30" of rain, and the wind is a total non-issue there. Game will be fine and fans will be fine. Stop worrying.

Now the news is desperately trying to fear monger people in San Antonio with flash flooding for this "catostrophic life threatening" storm. Blah blah blah.

The local newsies in Houston are shameless about that. They love to get themselves worked up into a tizzy when anything which might get national exposure happens. Then you can see how crestfallen they are when it doesn't. Makes it hard to take them seriously.

They also want to make sure people take it serious in case it is worse case.

You should hear the Weather Channel right mow with how disheartened they are that their rainfall totals are going down.

The lady was giving a half assed "thank goodness" when they discussed that there was far less storm surge than expected.

The problem is they've cried wolf too many times in the past. They have no credibility.

You suggested everyone west of Lafayette evacuate yesterday. Nobody should take anything you say seriously.
