A competent hitting coach would correct this. Obviously swinging under the ball with dipping the back shoulder. Time for a legit hitting coach. Theres just no correction of the same issues game after game.

Need to drop and do push-ups like Willie Mays Hayes.

pop-ups are grounders that go way too high.

Looks like this guy is a high fastball pitcher, similar to Floyd, so he’s going to induce lots of pop ups.

What do you think is more likely?

1. Jay Johnson, a guy who is widely considered a top hitting coach in the sport, is unaware of players mechanical problems?

OR

2. Guys used to seeing 100 are lighting up because they're getting 85 down the dick and trying to hit the ball to the moon, resulting in mechanical faults?

Do you honestly believe Jay Johnson doesn’t know how to fix hitting mechanics?

Dropping the back shoulder isn’t a bad thing. Go have a look at Barry Bonds in slow mo. Most of the guys have swing issues unrelated to dropping the shoulder.

That's just Coaching. (Did I do that right Pumptards?) Some heads need to roll after the completion of the season in any case. This is LSU Baseball, not LSU Softball.

So basically the whole team is making the same mistake and Jay is clueless as to what to do about it? That’s what you’re suggesting?

You just made my argument...whats the explanation otherwise? Theres something systematic going on.
