True, though not as effective. My guess would be that he's lead them to believe it will be during the game, but as long as the problem is small it will be done the next practice. This way you not only get the point across without embarrassing anyone, but you also get a little peer pressure as well.

Once you've done position drills and other conditioning drills you don't want to add to it by dropping passes and doing pushups. Especially on Fades and Seams where you haul arse down field then drop the ball now you gotta do push ups with your equipment on plus it's hot as balls and you're called out on dropping it in front of your friends and teammates. So you tighten your arse up and start catching balls.
